Kira & Chester loved there first sleep over with Pat .loved playing in her garden. I felt more of ease with leaving them. Best thing I could have done . From Willows first meeting with Helena through to her weekend stay with Caroline its been a first class service. Willow is a rescue shepherd and needs lots of attention and love which she received in endless supply from both ladies. Our boy Hendrix has just returned from his first Barking Mad holiday all arranged by Helena. He had a super time and has been well looked after by his host family. It is an excellent service and we have felt very comfortable about leaving him whilst we were away. Our beagle Bella has just been looked after by Barking Mad (Michaela and Steve) for 3 nights, and seems to have really enjoyed herself on holiday! The service we received from Helena was first class, including a "pre-visit" to get to know Bella and find out about her characteristics, and also to arrange pick up and drop off dates and times which were convenient for us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Barking Mad dog care....they definitely passed the Family and Friends Test! More...

Lexi and Molly loved their first Barking Mad holiday. The host family really looked after them, and I couldn't have felt more comfortable leaving my dogs with them while I was on holiday. Buster has just returned from his 1st Barking Mad mini break, along with photos a lovely crochet blanket and a post card, with tales about what hes been up to with his new best friend Rush, he seems to have had a fabulous time, and seems very happy and relaxed, Thank you so much host mum, dad and Rush, Im sure he will be back with you soon! ��. excellent service, I was so worried about leaving my dog for the first time as she's very clingy with me but she was fine, the lovely ladies at barking mad matched us with the perfect host and Casey seemed to have a great time.

I have been a Barking Mad host since summer 2016.

We would love a doggie of our own, but due to work, holidays etc just can't entertain one at the moment.
Each dog we look after comes with all their own equipment, food, bed, everything you need, all I provide is a home from home, walks and cuddles.
We have had big, old softies, young daft puppies and the tallest Labradoodle I've ever met, but they have all fitted in perfectly because Helena took a detailed profile of just what we could offer and what we would like.
My two boys adore having dogs around and although they're sad when the latest one goes home, they know we will have another soon. As my youngest says, this way we get to 'own' lots of different dogs but when we're busy, we don't have the hassle.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in January and didn't feel it would be fair to take dogs on while I was undergoing chemotherapy, but oh how we have missed them! As I type, I have a gorgeous, gentle, bundle of fur who Helena just knew would be ideal and his mum was happy for him to come here. He's only staying one night and he is the best therapy I could have had. That's the personal touch you get with Barking Mad. More...

Bella and Daisy just had their 1st Barking Mad holiday and have had a fabulous time. They can be a bit of a handful - particularly Daisy as she a lively puppy - but the photo's show they settled well and kept the hosts, Jo and her family, entertained (even though they kept claiming the sofa. . ..and the chair!!) My fur baby has just got back from his very first barking mad holiday. I was so nervous about leaving him as this was our first holiday away since having him. Barking mad came round and explain the process really well, helping us pick the perfect host for our dog's needs. While I was away I got updates and pictures of our dog with his hosts and their dog, which really calmed me down and let me enjoy my holiday knowing he was happy. The icing on the cake was when he got dropped off he came with a postcard with a lovely message off the hosts and a crotchet pillow as he loved it so much, also a present as it's his birthday tomorrow. I will definitely be using barking mad again and hopefully be able to use the same hosts as I believe he has made friends for life. I can't recommend highly enough! My dogs have never been in kennels and I've always had to rely on family. This is the first holiday where I've not once had to worry about my fur babies! Even though their lovely host Pat took poorly after just two days and another host Ann stepped in, I knew nothing til getting home. To be honest, my dogs usually go mental when they first see me again, I opened the car boot and they both just laid there looking at me as if to say "oh, it's you, do we have to come home then?!" � I'm thinking about letting the dogs have a long weekend away again with Barking Mad, just for a break for them! My three dogs have just had their first home stay with Barking Mad. I was so nervous to leave them as they hadn't stayed with anyone other than my family in the past. Barking mad were brilliant at explaining the whole process, proving information about the host family and keeping in touch during my holiday. My dogs have had a great time with their host family and have been returned in full spirits today!
