I recently used Barking Mad for the first time & it’s the best thing I did. I was worried about leaving my Shiba Inu at first as I have never left her with anyone apart from family before but she had a wonderful time with her hosts, she came back full of life, happy & healthy. I had regular updates which included text messages & photographs which instantly put my mind at ease. It’s safe to say I can now go on holiday & relax knowing my little girl is well looked after, I highly recommend Barking Mad More...

What more can I say Barking Mad is absolutely fantastic.

Let's say I was absolutely terrified at the thought of having to leave Kenzo my beautiful 6month old Shih Tzu when myself and my partner won a holiday to Malta at the end of April. When I was getting Kenzo groomed by a family friend I happened to mention this fact that we were going away and were struggling to find a sitter for Kenzo as there was no way I would have ever considered putting him into kennels Gemma happened to mention her mother in law used a fantastic service called Barking Mad and she gave us the number we rang up and spoke to Peter Sue's husband he asked us a few questions about Kenzo and the service we were looking for he gave us all the details and put are minds at ease straight away and we set a date for a home visit.

My initial home visit was with Sue Seward and after providing information about Kenzo on a day by day basis his likes and his dislike we were very nervous as Kenzo was just a small puppy and had not long been beginning to get into a routine but this didn't faze Sue in the slightest and she assured us this wouldn't be a problem so we went ahead and arranged a 3 day break with Christina. Sue arrived to collect Kenzo on the Tuesday afternoon as arranged, I was a nervous wreck and beside myself with worry in fact to be truthful I was in floods of tears at the thought of him leaving me as he'd never left my side since he came to live with us as he was very much a mummy's boy so as you can imagine I was extremely worried how he would react to his first nights away from home. Within 45 minutes Sue telephoned to say Kenzo had settled in nicely with Christina and seemed very happy followed by a photo of them together with Kenzo getting cuddles. That first phone call felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I felt a bit more relaxed I received a couple more texts on the Tuesday informing me how well he was settling in with Christina. Wednesday morning Sue text me to say Kenzo had settled in but had barked all night as he didn't want to be by himself but as soon as Christine took him in her bedroom he slept fine on the floor needless to say I was beside myself with worry that Christina wouldn't have him for his big holiday but Sue reassured me this sometimes happens and that day they had planned a full day of adventures I received some lovely photos of Kenzo relaxing enjoying the sun in Christina's garden and that evening I received a text to say Kenzo had enjoyed his day Thursday morning Sue texted to say Kenzo had settled that night but still wouldn't sleep away from Christina. Thursday morning came I was filled with dread he'd had Christina up all night and was unsettled but I got a lovely text to say Christina was thrilled to have him back again when we were going away and he was going for another walk before coming back to me I got another photo of him visiting the horses and he was happy. Peter rang me at 14:30 to say he was on his way to pick Kenzo up and he wouldn't be long I watched for the car coming around that corner I was so excited for Kenzo coming home on arrival Kenzo got out if the car ran down the path and nearly knocked me over he was so excited to see me he licked my face with such joy. As arranged with a postcard telling us all about his adventures and a photo of himself & Christina.

Peter took all the details of are next holiday to Malta to give to Sue and booked us in with Christina for Kenzo to stay again.

Barking Mad offers an excellent outstanding service from start to finish and I would most definitely recommended them to anyone wanting to use this service absolutely brilliant thank you so very much Sue & Peter and most of all Christina. Kenzo returned to us a very happy and content little puppy.

Cassie is back from her pre-holiday trial with aunty Judy and had a lovely time. This is the first time Cassie has been away from home (she's only 7 months) and I was so worried about leaving her when we go away, but my mind is now at rest knowing she will be well cared for, happy and fussed over. Thank you Sue and Judy for looking after our precious girl. More...

I had huge reservations about sending our 15 month old goldendoodle away when he has never had a night without us. I need not have worried, he had a fantastic time with the perfect hosts! Sue came to meet him and spent around an hour getting to know him and his routine. As he is a big bouncy puppy and loves to play, he often annoys other dogs so I had initially thought he would be better in a house with no other dogs. I trusted Sue's judgement in placing him with Gillian and Paul who have Harvey, lovely little schnauzer, and she was totally right! I got regular updates and photos which put my mind at ease, he came back happy to see us, but I can tell he enjoyed himself, the mention of Harvey's name pricks his ears up! Won't worry at all next time, thank you for a fantastic service, I would recommend barking mad to anyone! More...

We recently used BM for the first time for Mac our 14 week old Westie pup. Sue offers such a brilliant and professional service. She was positive and reassuring. Mac was placed with wonderful hosts who were more than happy to take on a pup. He had a lovely time with them and we received updates and photos, showing us how well settled he was. We will definitely be using BM again and would certainly recommend this service over putting your doggie into kennels. More...
