Our fur baby always LOVES it here! Bao Bao is a corgi/mini husky mix, which means she requires a TON of exercise before she can sleep through the night. Great first impression! My wife and I have been looking for a place to leave our two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels since moving to Anaheim Hills a few months ago. We have visited a number of boarding facilities, and today we visited Barking Lodge. It was by far cleaner than the other places we toured, and less crowded with dogs too. My wife and I were nervous having to board our dog for the first time and honestly didn't know where to start.  After many calls, we decided on Barking Lodge Pet Resorts.  The kind candor of the representatives I spoke with put my mind at ease.  I was told what I needed to provide upon check-in, and they assured me that there would be ample room for our pup on short notice (we were dropping her off the next morning).  Upon check-in, the process was smooth and swift.  After a temperament test with the other dogs in the facility, proof of vaccines, and a detailed tour of the grounds, we dropped our little one off knowing that she would be in great hands.  Throughout the stay, we received text and photo updates, which were so appreciated.  We were happy to see our pet having a great time.  While there is currently no live video feed, the updates throughout the stay were just as good.  I loved the fact that they had separate areas for dogs with various personalities and size.  It's inclusive, yet safe.  When we returned to pick her up, we met BIjan, one of the owners.  We had a great conversation with him about the property, his life, and how he and his wife had started the business.  He has a very kind and warm personality.  For anyone looking to board their dog in the Orange County area, I would highly recommend this business. We've been going to Barking Lodge for the past 6 months. We've done overnight stays (10 nights in a row), and countless daycare sessions. This facility is huge, with multiple areas to separate the dogs by size and temperament. We rescued a young/energetic Husky who did not know how to play with other dogs. She was always getting into fights, so we were super anxious bringing her to Barking Lodge for daycare. The first day at daycare, Bijon assured me that everything will be alright. But of course, my girl was picking fights with the biggest dogs in the ring and they had to separate her from the rest of the dogs. In subsequent visits, they took their time to socialize my Husky, introducing different types of dogs to her and testing out her temperament. She soon made a couple of friends (and boyfriends!) at Barking Lodge. Within a couple of months (we go once a week), I noticed a dramatic shift in her behavior around other dogs. I'm so glad for Bijan and the rest of the staff at Barking lodge. I was looking for a place to board my English bulldog for 6 days while we were on vacation. I must have consulted with a handful of boarding cares before deciding to choose barking lodge. Bijan is very caring and reassured me that my dog would be well taken care of. I am glad I found the barking lodge! What caught my attention was they let the dogs play all day long. I boarded my pup for a weekend for the first time ever. He returned happy and pooped (which is good since he is a high energy dog) The even let him play in a little pool to keep cool. The best dog boarding place we have ever been! We were staying at the Disneyland Hotel for a work conference for 4 days & wanted to board our dog closer to where we were going to be. When we drove up the area was industrial & I wasn't sure about it. We are used to places that are more open from the street & not tucked away. So if you are feeling that way don't be tempted to not go inside. This place is worth it! Trust me, I baby my dog like my kids, so I wouldn't just take him anywhere.Once inside we were greeted by extremely helpful staff. We filled out some paperwork & our dog did an evaluation. The girl, who helped us, was so thorough & answered any questions I could have possibly had. The facility is considerably large, clean, & well laid out. They accommodate all dogs of all sizes. The owner has given much thought into the design. When we picked up, our dog was groomed (we paid extra for this) & everything was perfect. The staff was soooo loving to our dog. He received a little bag of treats & a wonderfully kind note telling us all about his time there. It wasn't just a quick note either. They gave detail & we walked away knowing they really knew our dog. It wasn't a generic note. We also received a little goody bag. Our dog was spoiled here! The icing on it all was that the price of $45/night was beyond affordable. For once a place didn't have to charge this high obscene price. They truly understand the balance & affordability for us dog owners. Thank you!!! I wish we lived closer to take advantage of using this place all the time. just got back from a quick trip out of the country. WOW WOW WOW. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I totally would. I brought my 9 month gsd/lab here for boarding. I was pretty nervous given that he had little exposure to big social groups of dogs.  (generally he socializes one-on-one). From Check in to check out everything went smoothly. Everyone from the owner himself to the workers genuinely care about your pet. I even received a video via text, updating me on my dog. Needless to say, I'll be back again for daycare and boarding when I need it. The owner was such a kind man and even escorted me to my car because I had a lot in my hands at the moment. We used Barking Lodge Pet resort for boarding our dog this past weekend. We had a very good experience. From our initial phone call to our pre-boarding visit to our actual weekend stay, the staff was professional, kind and knowledgeable. They showed interest in our dog and told us what to expect. I am so glad I found the Barking Lodge! If ever I go on a trip or the day is too rainy to leave my pup, Roma, at home alone, I know I can trust Roma in their care. I've had her stay with them on multiple occasions. They genuinely care and provide the accommodations to make sure Roma is comfortable and has ample playtime. If I ever need to make changes to my reservation, it is never a problem and they are very kind and easy to talk to. Roma always comes back very happy from her stay. One thing they could improve on is to provide updates or surveillance. Although they are great, it would be nice to have visibility. They did mention they are working on getting that in the future. We had to bring my dog here for 5 days during our family vacation and being that it was her first-time being at a pet resort, I was pretty worried.  I found this place through Yelp and seeing that it had a lot of high ratings, I decided to give it a try.  Bella (my dog) was obviously nervous at first, but as days went on, she was progressing, and the owner was kind enough to send me video updates on her which I really appreciated.  We also got a cute report card which detailed her performance at the resort which was really informative and I loved the fact that they allowed us to bring one of her blankets for her to sleep with to make her feel more at ease.  I HIGHLY recommend this place.  They treated Bella as if she was their own and took really good care of her.  Will definitely be using their services next time we're on a trip. My wife and I absolutely love bringing our Lab, Chase, here! Even when we call last minute, they have been able to accommodate us. The staff are always amazing and friendly. Bijan, the owner, is a total dog lover and it shows! He's always giving great advice and wants to make sure our dog gets the best care possible. And I know for a fact that our lab, Chase, LOVES it there! I can't say enough about Barking Lodge!  My first impression when I walked in the lobby was feeling very welcome and comfortable.  Bijan was very friendly and answered all of my many questions.  When I was given a tour, I was happy to see that small, medium and large dogs were kept separately and they have big areas to run and play in.  Everything was very clean and well kept.  Any anxieties I might've had about boarding Rocket were gone.  While he stayed there, I was sent pictures and videos which I really appreciated.  When I called to check on him, the staff was happy to talk to me and I never felt rushed or like I was bothering them.  Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and genuinely cared about the dogs.  I will not board Rocket anywhere else and will be recommending Barking Lodge to anyone I know that has a dog.  Thank you Bijan and staff for taking such great care of our boy! Brought my dog Luna here after having a bad experience with Dachs to Danes. They were very welcoming and you can tell they love and care for the dogs. The place is very well taken care of. Brought my rescue pup here while we went out of town for a night recently. The pup has grown super attached to my wife and I since we have brought him home, so it was quite difficult for him and us to leave him. There were many dogs for him to play around with, though he is quite shy and still working on socializing he took well to having some playmates around.We were given a tour of the facility and it is quite clean. There is different areas that are kept closed off to keep the bigger dogs together and separate from the small breeds. Each small area has plenty of room for the dogs to run around and an area for them to relieve themselves. $45 for a night is not bad. My rescue maltipoo has bad separation anxiety but I knew she would be ok if she got to be with other dogs while I'm at work. She was with other dogs at the shelter and was calm and quiet. When someone is with her, she is fine but the minute she feels alone she goes haywire with non-stop barking (neighbor said it lasted the entire 9 hours), groaning, and begging. I read the reviews and took her over to Barking Lodge before work, even though it's slightly out of the way. The minute the owner took her leash from me she followed him without looking back. He put her with the other small doggos and I saw on the cameras that her tail was wagging like crazy as she exchanged greetings with the other pups.
