Ive been a member at Bannatyne peterborough for 2 years. I like the equipment, availability of equipment (I visit between 8am and midday), the shower facilities and the spa area. The shower is 10 on the one I have in my own house and the steam rooms are 1 of the best I've ever used.I dislike the friendliness of staff, only 3 or 4 members of staff say hello, 1 of them being Mark the cleaner and another being the head chief. I used a number of gyms in previous years and whilst they did not have all the equipment I can find at Bannatyne and generally the spa areas where very poor, the staff made up for it. It doesn't take a lot of effort to say hello to a customer that you see 6 out of 7 days a week, does it? I used to have a good conversation and chuckle with dawn receptionist at 1life in sleaford, Dawn come and work at Bannatyne then I can give 5 stars!! More...

Great health club BUT...very appalled by the service in the Cafe. There were no baked potatoes left - these were half the menu, the lady wasn't remotely apologetic, my friend has a food allergy and this was extremely inconvenient. I ordered the stilton and spinach risotto which was nearly £7 for a portion size that was less than a child's portion which is totally unacceptable. My friend ordered a sandwich which was more than twice the size for half the price. When I went to complain to the manager Jade, she was extremely unhelpful and said basically it is the way it is. I had to buy another meal as I was still extremely hungry, which again is totally unacceptable as I was forced to pay more. You would expect decent portion sizes for people who are often spending the entire day doing exercise. I would veto anyone from going to this cafe. Poor service and poor food! More...

Superb gym facilities, up to date machines and gym equipment with personal trainers on hand to help. There is also a pool that can be used with sauna facilities that are both infused with special ingredients for the skin. Brilliant gym and pool facilities. Miss having a gym like this to where I moved to. Perhaps Bannatyne would like to invest in another health club close to Whittlesey/Cardea due to the massive amount of housing construction going on, combined with the commuting population from London moving there.

Booked a Spa Day for my friend and I for today 12th August 2018 and although the spa staff and facilities were great which I’m giving the 5 stars for, the experience was marred by the bannatynes receptionist who was very unwelcoming and unenthusiastic. My locker wristband which we paid £2 each for ( supposed to be refundable but wasn’t as nothing given back when we handed them back in to same receptionist on leaving !!) didn’t open any lockers so had to go back to reception in my swimsuit to get it sorted out.Same miserable receptionist exchanged it.This experience was bought by me for my friend and I to try to give her a treat due to her husband being terminally ill and the non welcoming receptionist did not start the experience off well. I have worked as a gym receptionist and know that first impressions are lasting ones and always ensured all guests and members were greeted with a smile and enthusiasm which I feel bannatynes could do with reminding that receptionist of!!I have another spa day booked here for the end of September but am seriously thinking of going elsewhere due to this More...
