I have used other Balloon companies in NYC but this one was so fantastic to work with. You place your order online, which I was a little nervous about doing without professional advice but the "kings of balloons" came to my rescue! (I will post pictures once I get my order but since I just finished finalizing things with the shop, I wanted to review the experience while it was still fresh in my mind!) After calling the shop the first time, this wonderful woman Lissette walked me through the process of how to order online and once she explained how to place a somewhat complex order, the site was extremely easy to navigate. After I was done, I was still not 100% sure about what it would look like, so Lissette not only called me to review everything she actually texted me pictures, without my asking, to show me what they would look like. As a visual person, this was a HUGE help. After seeing my picks, I knew I had to make slight adjustments and Lissette gave me great suggestions. Mission accomplished. I was pleasantly surprised she suggested I downsize my order by a few balloons after telling her the size of the event room was small because in most cases, other places would oversell but she knew my budget and worked within it. I totally respect that and it will have me coming back again and again. I appreciated her honesty. I also loved that she wasn't upset with me when I called the store AT LEAST 5 times before, during and after the process, which undoubtedly would have annoyed me. She was beyond patient and professional. How I got to them: After reaching out to numerous stores only to find no one could help me over the phone and the places that did have a website (I will let them remain anonymous) were sites you couldn't order from or see their inventory of balloons and party supplies (Not sure what the point of a website is if you can't utilize it) I decided to look further. My ultimate goal was to get everything in an organized fashion without running around the city on the morning of the event causing myself angst and leaving little time to set up the last of everything before the guests arrived. Literally, no other store was open by 9 am on a Sunday and if they were, they suggested I go in a day or two before the event to pick out what I wanted. That's when I decided I needed to go on YELP, which is my bible of sorts. When I came upon Balloon King I couldn't be more thrilled. Not only are they open earlier than the rest but I can literally pick up my order AT 9 am versus waiting 30 minutes after they open to get them. All the other stores opened at 10 am but told me I couldn't pick up before 10:30 because they would first be blowing them after they got in. Now, I have been in retail and customer service businesses all my life and I would think that anyone who wants a repeat business might consider getting in just a few minutes early to have an order ready upon opening rather than making a customer wait. AND, would help place an order over the phone rather than telling me I had to come in twice in two days. Needless to say, none of this worked for me. I looked for other options and miraculously fell upon this company which is just down the block from where I am picking up my platters, had the most stars, best reviews, and was open early enough for me to get my order and be where I needed to be with plenty of time to spare. I am relieved I won't be running around the city the morning of this baby shower, like "a chicken without a head." But I am more grateful for finding a company that is 100% service-oriented, kind and accommodating. A few of their balloons (mylar) were a bit more expensive than the competition but the service made it was worth every penny. I can't say enough positives about this place. Lissette is an amazing employee and I am thankful to her for everything. With all that said, and it's a lot, if you are having an early morning event, especially on a Sunday this is the place to go. Balloon Kings has became my go-to store when I need a very reliable service to prepare for last minute surprises. Yes it isn't exactly the cheapest option you can find in-town. But the quality and reliability is unbeatable, I'd rather pay the price and save headaches. I've ordered from Balloon Kings a few times by now. All a-day-before orders, all arrived on-time or earlier than my scheduled time. Tiffany even took the extra step and texted me to let me know to whom she left the delivery with at my front desk, that way if anything isn't right I could track down the source. Their high float latex balloons stayed afloat in my apartment for a month. While you’d be lucky if the usual ones from elsewhere can stay afloat for more than three days. Balloon Kings was one of 3 places I reached out to for quotes when looking for bridal shower decorations. I originally thought of doing a garland but those can be pricey and opted for a couple of arrangements. Gene was super helpful when i submitted an inquiry via their contact page online, and answered all my questions via email. I ended up doing 2 similar arrangements to one that I saw on their Instagram page but added a few more balloons.It was pretty easy to place the order online. My only complaint was b/c I was ordering 2 arrangements with the same balloons in each I had to manually calculate and make sure I added the right quantity for each arrangement. There's a section when you check out to provide directions. I told them which balloons in each arrangement and to make it pretty - which they did!I was coming in from out of town for the bridal shower so needed the balloons to be delivered, which we had no issues with. Overall, balloons are not cheap but they did an awesome job, exceeded expectations, provided great customer service and I would highly recommend them/use Balloon Kings again the the future! More...

A gem of a business, Balloon King is superconvenient, open on weekends and has a very friendly and helpful staff. I've stopped in for helium to fill a radio controlled blimp and balloons for a birthday party. They have really extraordinary selection and it's supporting a local business rather than a superstore. We received a bouquet of "Get Well Soon" balloons when my 1 year old had surgery. Four weeks later and the balloons are still inflated and brightening my son's day. If you are questioning whether to give the gift of balloons to a child - please do not. I could have never anticipated the joy that my child experiences when he sees his balloons. I was looking for a place to get balloons for my engagement party, therefore I asked my sister Rachel, who knows the best of the best for everything in NYC, who she recommends. She said Balloon Kings with no hesitation. I contacted the owner. Not only did he reply right away, but he was extremely helpful with everything. He also did not get annoyed with my million and one emails and questions. I ordered two big balloons and had them delivered to Long Island City. From the moment I contacted "Gene the King" regarding a balloon bouquet quote for a girlfriend of mine who was celebrating her 60th birthday by having a Disco-themed party, I knew I was in good hands.
