I had tried Baby Brasa at an event and was wowed by how unique and delish it was. I will NEVER-ever order a salad when I'm out because it's goat food- however Baby brasa's Quinoa salad is my only exception to that. Filling and delicious it gets it right, with a huge half an avocado for those who love it, get the yellow pepper sauce in the salad and thank me later ;) The empanada appetizer was good! It tasted fresh and delish but it's very small, the interior of Baby Brasa brings me back to my hometown of Miami so it gets bonus points there for me. The service had no blips and when asked to split the bill the server was easily able to do so.The downside in my opinion is the food is not reasonably priced, portions seem to be smaller and the prices are high for NYC where you can get comprable Spanish food for way less. My favorite restaurant in NYC for every ocassion. Delishes Peruvian food (I recomend tuna tartare,cheviche power misto, grilled octopus and osso bucco),coctails are one of best in town (my favorite are Stay gold and Pisco Sour),great service and amazing atmosphere (almost every night is live music). Guests are so relaxed and usually after dinner is spontanous party when everybody dancing and have fun. It's pain in the butt sometimes to get into an Peruvian restaurant in the city. My friends and I tried to go into 4 places. First of all the environment looks amazing, decorations and the lovely people who work there my bartender make us great recommendations of the drinks the flavor and the presentation make us feel cute and delicious, we get an appetizer grill octopus , main course lomo saltado and arroz con pollo unbelievable to have very close the flavor who is it feel in Peru, appreciated so much for the great time with my bartender Luis, and our waiters (we have cute ones). 100% recommended this place, I definitely back! My friends and I were in the mood for Peruvian food so we decided to check out Baby Brasa and OMG! The food was unbelievable! !! We started off with the quinoa salad and empanadas. I got the Churrasco as my main and everything tasted incredible! The place was very nice, it accommodates our party of 6 comfortably. The wait staff provided stellar service! Good vibes, good food and VERY good drinks! I usually stop by on the weekends (work right nearby). Sunday nights tend to be more chill, but if you're looking for a lively crowd, I'd definitely recommend stopping by on Fridays/ Saturdays. Second recommendation: wait for service right at the bar. I've been coming to Baby Brasa off and on for a while. I always enjoy the great music and food. I recently returned and enjoyed another night. Be sure to make a reservation for dinner as they have less seating than I recall from the past. Kenny was our waiter, and we had excellent service with him. He was our waiter before, so we were thrilled to have him again. I can't say how pleased we are with our experience with Kenny. He made great food recommendations and was so friendly. Eating lunch with my Peruvian friend, Johan, he assured me that our food was the authentic, wonderful food of Peru, and it was incredible. I was eating off of his plate and my own. The staff were great; patient, helpful and nice. Though I wasn't drinking, the bar looked well stocked with a wide variety of quality booze (see picture) and if I'm in the neighborhood, and have a few bucks to spend, I'll most definitely be a return customer. Truly loved every second in this place. Live music was an added bonus and I think they have a different act every night. The food was absolutely amazing. Very flavorful and good portions. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious. The arroz con pollo was everything I wanted and I really loved the cucumbers as a side they were to die for. The shrimp anticucho was amazing. Service was on point and I highly recommend making a reservation the place is always packed.
