I came here after a recent minor back injury, the recommendation came from my girlfriend who has also had an excellent experience here and who has been seeing Abi for some time. I had received several different recommendations of various chiropractors from friends and colleagues, but I’m so glad I chose Ashwood Clinic. You feel in the safest hands the moment you step through the door. On my initial appointment with Abi, a good 40 minutes was spent consulting me and finding out about my medical history, symptoms and trying to find the route cause of the pain, which was very carefully considered. On my second appointment, I was introduced to a structured rehabilitation plan taliored for me, which is still ongoing but seems to be working wonders. Everything is explained thoroughly to you and broken down into stages. It’s not about a quick fix but also focusing on further prevention once the pain diminishes. I have received a range of various different treatments, some of which I didn’t even know existed and is it clear that Abi is highly trained and an expert in her field. In addition to being highly professional, on a personal level, you could not find yourself in more of a friendly atmosphere and although the treatment itself has not caused me any discomfort, Abi is always checking to ensure you feel at ease. I have had therapy for various things elsewhere before that have been more expensive and also left me coming away not feeling the long term benefit from, by comparison I feel that Ashwood clinic offers excellent value for money and have already passed on to several others without hesitation! Abi is GREAT! This is not just your typical 'click and done' clinic that most people would associate with chiropractic. At Ashwood they are extremely thorough in terms of recording previous injury history to try and formulate a diagnosis, and future treatment plan. Each session involves evaluating how you are currently feeling, and trying to figure out what activities may be having an adverse affect on you pain. I have visited the practice on 11th September 2018 for an initial consultation and short treatment session. Abigail was very thorough in her assessment, checking my areas of complaint and working out what would be best for me. I have had some pain in my back and my shoulder. Abigail was very knowledgable and explained, using diagrams, the muscles which were causing me pain. I was given a short treatment session focusing on those areas and Abi then advised me of exercises that would benefit me going forward. The treatment was clearly based on what would work best for me. I will be arranging some follow up appointments and would recommend Abi to anyone who has any issues with their back or shoulders! More...

I had never been to a chiropractor before prior to my first session yesterday after many years of pain following a lifetime of dancing. I had pain in my upper and lower back and my hip. Abigail was incredibly thorough and explained what the problem was in detail. She also explained all the adjustments she was going to do prior to doing them as she knew I hadn’t been to a chiropractor before which was lovely! The pain in my back feels 10x better after one session and Abigail discussed with me how further sessions could assist with my hip pain so will be booking some follow up appointments! Couldn't recommend enough. I was seeing Abigail for a few months and found her professional yet friendly and she helped my back pain improve more than I expected. Absolutely brilliant and I’d throughly recommend!!I have been visiting Ashwood Chiropractic in Cardiff for over two months now and have seen a great improvement. I first visited complaining of neck & lower back pain and my treatment has been the perfect mix of adjustments and exercises designed to strengthen the supporting muscles.
