Ashwell Medical Group is the answer to the healthcare issue in this country...or at least it was for me. I have insurance through my job but the cost and complication of just getting an appointment no less getting more than 3 minutes face time with a Doctor was just too much to deal with and the care was awful.
I met Dr Brown at the Asheville Tailgate Market and learned more about her philosophy of Direct Primary Care that’s patient focused and not health insurance that’s bottom line cost focused.
My first appointment was nothing like I’d experienced before with a Dr’s appointment. From the moment you walk in the front door you’re greeted by an amazingly friendly staff that truly have a care for the patient. My appointment was at 1:00 and I was in an exam room at 12:45. UNHEARD OF! They were not only on time they were EARLY....I thought for sure the apocalypse was happening.
Dr Brown took the time to find out what was going on, how I was feeling, family history....the whole 9 yards. After a thorough exam (at least an hour of time with Dr Brown) and a new prescription, I was on my way home feeling like the $79.00 a month for Dr Brown and the care of Ashwell Medical Group was the best $79.00 I would spend every month. It truly is HEALTHCARE.
I couldn’t be more grateful for having a Doctor that’s available to me without having to go through a call service. The human element makes the difference!
I highly recommend Ashwell Medical Group!!! They are PHENOMENAL!

From day one until now, with a few visits in between, I’m still in awe at Dr. Brown and her associates’ abilities to make a model like this successful and available to the general population. This is how healthcare should be. Dr. Brown and her staff are wonderful, accepting, down to earth, and most importantly, kind. The prices are unbeatable. I paid NOTHING to have my IUD removed. I was petrified (because I’m a baby) and was met with lighthearted understanding. Dr. Brown was totally transparent about the process which really put my mind at ease. She loves what she does and it is apparent in the way she goes about her practice. Oh, and birth control pills are only $10/month. I LOVE ASHEWELL! More...
