I brought my 3 month Labrador puppy Gwen to be registered and get her vaccinations and worming/flea treatments. All of the staff made me feel so at ease and that Gwen was in good hands. The receptionist registered us and made a big fuss of Gwen and had a chat to me whilst I waited to see the vet. This really made me feel at ease. When we went in to see the vet he made a huge fuss of Gwen and gave her a really good check over. She’d had an upset tummy and he advised me on how to deal with this. The veterinary nurse was also very good with Gwen and made a big fuss of her too. Overall I was made to feel at ease and that my dog’s welfare was important to everyone that works at the practice. I’ve never registered with a vet in aberdare and I’m so pleased that I chose this one! In a word Brilliant, Been with Ash Vets for years now Medivet. Still the same People there plus some new Vets who I have seen and find them just as good as the original vets. The staff made Bailey feel relaxed by fussing her and looked after her before and after her operation until I came to collect her, even tho she had just had an op she was still content and not stressed at all and I thank every member of staff for that, also the receptionist at mountain ash surgery is lovely, Bailey actually looks for her as we come into the surgery, and she looks forward to seeing the vet, who is very helpful and answers any questions or worries I have.. 10 out of 10 from me :)

I've been using Ash Vets since the late 80's and I've always found them to be very professional and caring to the 3 dogs I've had in that time, a GSD and two Labs . . Sadly two weeks ago I had to call them out to come to see my yellow Lab 'Bailey', old age had caught up with him and got the better of him, he deteriorated considerably over his last two days, the vet and his nurse came to the house, checked him over and advised that maybe now was his time, he couldn't get up, he was very weak and his blood pressure was very low .. They assisted his forever sleep as I lay with him on my kitchen floor, he went so peacefully as I held him .. The compassion shown was very much appreciated and needed as after 14 years together he really was my best mate .. Id like to thank the vet Dimitrious and his nurse Emma for their help at a very, very difficult time and I'd also like to thank Dimitrious for his hand written sympathy card that I received a few days later, thank you both, above and beyond and I'm forever grateful .. Ash Vets in Mountain Ash have been absolutely amazing with our furbabies! Rachel have been their Vet for nearly 12 years and we could not have asked for anyone better. She was amazing with both our dogs Tom and Jerry. Unfortunately we have had to say goodbye to both our boys this year and Rachel has been there for us and has always had our babies best interest at heart.
