Excellent location to attend well-cast, acted and directed plays. Small and personal, and seems well run. From the posters, there have been many shows over the years (lots of Shakespeare). We saw Chekhov's Three Sisters, and I look forward to seeing another show here. More...

Just saw The Mandrake play here. It was very entertaining, laugh out loud funny. The Archway is a "Black Box" theater, very intimate, and I was a little uneasy having never been to one. But I was quickly swept up into the play and the experience was amazing. One of the best shows I've seen. Limited sets, limited tech, just good acting and good script. The cast were all good, Dan McCann (Nicky) played a convincing knucklehead lawyer and Shawn Stoner (Siro) was a riot in hIs character. Would recommend to anyone that likes a good laugh! More...

I've been a fan for four years now, both at the odd space downtown, where the actors were nearly in your lap, and now in NoHo, a good space with good acoustics and lights — and abundant free street parking.

Steven Sabel offers a great variety of classical (Shakespeare, Moliere), neo-classical (Shaw), and "other" productions (Strindberg — really!?! — and crowd-pleasers like Ludwig), with an emphasis on fine acting, attention to detail, and an intimate connection with the audience.

Recommended.

We absolutely LOVED seeing Archway Theatre's production of THE WOMEN at @PinupGirlBoutique! So creative to see theatre in such a fun, immersive, and unique way. The cast of 18, count it 18 (!!!) women, was phenomenal. Look out, Los Angeles! Archway Theatre is making leaps in the theatre scene here! More...

Archway is a gem in the rough! I've seen two plays here and both were fantastic! While there were more actors in Cierno de Bergerac than there were audience members, the performance was outstanding! We just saw Six Actors in Search of an Author, and while this was a very complex play, the actors were fabulous! All the actors certainly put in time to give a great show. Can't wait to see the next one. Excellent show last night (Cyrano)! It was my first time there, but I would go back. Well-acted, nice job on the comedic breaks, and overall, it was a good show.

These guys produce some of the best theater in the LA area, and with the amount of passion and talent here, that's saying something. Postmortem alone was some of the most entertaining theater I've seen in a long time, and by far some of actor Tom Betterton's best work (big fan). Congrats to director Steven Sabel for producing success after success. Can't wait to see their next one! More...

I've been out in LA for two years and I am happy to have finally found a theater that keeps its focus on solely the quality of the performances of its actors. The theater itself has a very bare-bones, pure theater feel which I never imagined existed out in tinsel town. I have never been happier to be wrong. Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a performance of Hamlet. The cast was completely solid, lead by Christopher Karbo taking on perhaps the most difficult character in literature and making it look easy. He commands the stage with such a strong presence; during his performance of each soliloquy it felt like an intimate friend taking each individual audience member aside and really having a heart-to-heart with them. It felt so raw, and true. Eric Castro and Mary Carrig give excellent supporting performances. Each line was delivered with such passion. It was absolutely a fantastic show, and a great way to return to watching theater performances  on a personal note. More...

I'm really happy to have found this place. I took my free week of yoga classes and knew after the 1st one I would continue to come back. I just had my 3rd session with Annie, each one has been unique and tailored to the people in the room. Very insightful instruction and just the right blend of stretching, strength, and breathing. Very meditative. But I'm sweating at the same time. I'm really excited about the next 3 months of unlimited classes I bought. Prices are amazing. The setting is very relaxing and quiet. I love that it's attached to a theater being an artist myself. More...

Annie, Helen, and Aubrey (I think that was her name) are all really, really super fab teachers. The yoga studio behind the stage has really, really great energy. Annie's style feels a lot like the yoga I practiced in San Diego. It feels real with no gimmicks or cheesy twists on yoga. it's the real deal. And it'll actually kick your butt. I can't wait to get back to why I loved yoga in the first place. I also love that this space is also used for live theatre! More...

The Archway is unique.  Annie and Steven have truly created something special.  Theatre and Yoga are the perfect combination!  The new space in No. Ho. is a wonderful expansion to what they have been cultivating over the last several years.  Steven is a great artistic director and attracts talented performers.  I have seen three shows and have taken many classes from Annie, who is one of my favorite yoga teachers in LA.  I feel her teaching is deep, strengthening, and soulful.  Every time I visit the Archway I feel a sense of community and magic.
