Beautiful photos, really natural. Anna likes to go outside for photo shoots and the mix between people and countryside works so well and enhances the photos.

Anna and Simon are quite simply, the dream team. They are fantastic at what they do, make you feel totally at ease and capture your special day effortlessly. Prior to working with them, I really didn't enjoy having my picture taken; after my experience with them both, I feel confident again in having pictures taken which says it all in the service they provide. If you're thinking about booking them, stop thinking and book their services now; you won't regret it!! More...

Had some photos done for the family for passports and driving licenses. Very pleased with the results, very knowledgable about the rules and regs of the passport photos. Very friendly and helpful. Satisfaction guaranteed. And some awesome photos in the gallery if you want something a bit more exciting than identity papers. More...

Anna is an absolute pleasure to be with. I am quite camera-shy and she helped me to relax within minutes. She has a special talent for bringing out the true character of her subjects in a very natural way. I was thrilled with the results of my portrait photos and actually had a lot of fun on the shoot. She even managed to get my obstinate dog to co-operate! More...

She responded to our initial enquiry straight away. She asked us what we wanted (location for photographs, times, whether we wanted pictures taken from side/front etc) and was very flexible. The quality of her work is outstanding and she is very reasonably priced. More...

Anna did a fantastic job with our wedding photos and the final album looks amazing. Anna guided us through every stage of the process and gave us lots of guidance as to what would work and what would not work. Anna's expertise and attention to detail made for a quality product and service. I would highly recommend Anna Durrant Photography. More...

Anna was a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job of capturing our day in a reportage style rather than formal pictures. She was flexible on the number of hours we required and we met in her home to discuss all aspects of the day to make sure we were on the same page. She was very competitive versus other local photographers too and had a wide range of albums to choose from and hosted our album on her website so that guests could view and purchase prints directly from her with or without frames too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her work . More...

A fantastic experience with Anna doing our newborn baby photoshoot. She was extremely experienced and managed to get the best out of our son despite him only being 2 weeks old. We absolutely love the photos and are very happy. More...

Anna has photographed 2 of my children whilst at Acorns pre school and I can't express enough how amazing the photos are. So natural and beautiful.
What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
For people photography look for the light first, then work on getting a natural looking expression. Background and posing are also important and if all 4 are good, then you've got a winner!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What and who are your pictures for? How comfortable are you with posing in front of the lens? If not, then I work quickly and efficiently and will keep talking and trying to relax you. I hate photographers who are forever looking at the back of their camera - it's very rude!
What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and just love seeing their expressions when they see the pictures I've taken.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been interested in photography from childhood, working with mainly B&W film and processing in the darkroom. Around the year 2000 I went to night school to learn more and then friends kept asking me to take pictures of various events. I then realised I was a "photographer" and decided to go professional.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have many years experience of taking people pictures. I listen to my clients to find out what they really want and treat everyone as special. All the pictures I take are individually processed (don't ever choose someone who doesn't process the images as they will all need something done to them). I love my work and am enthusiastic to get the absolute best pictures I can, whatever the situation. I hope, by looking at my website, that you can see the sparkle in the eye!
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
For people photography we need to meet in person, but for product photography it should be possible to work remotely, if you send your products to me and give me a good briefing as to what you are looking for.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
When we are not in "lockdown" I am able to meet up with families and individuals outside to take some lovely natural pictures. I will be able to keep 2 metres apart but can still get close ups because I have a variety of lenses! Should we need to take pictures inside I will wear a mask if not able to keep a 2m distance and ask that other adults also wear a mask, apart from when I'm taking pictures. If you come here to our house I have a Covid safe routine of cleaning all touch points before and after a client has called.
