Drs. Murphy and Valentine are simply the very best.  They take a personal interest in each pet.  AND, they are just nice people.  I so appreciate everything they did for a cat we lost at 19, making her last years great.  Another of our cats had a tumor on her neck that was very unusual and they didn't hesitate to refer us to a specialist.  The front office people are always very helpful.  I wouldn't think of going elsewhere.  I also have my two dogs groomed by Brianna at the grooming facility.  Neither Paris nor Tyler shake when they figure out where they're going.  That is the highest possible recommendation I can possibly give! Have used this vet for one of our pet rats. I have found the office staff to be very nice and accommodating and willing to work our pet into the schedule for an emergency. The technicians are very adept at handling smaller animals and very attentive to them. Both Dr. Culpepper and Dr. Murphy are very knowledgeable and very thorough in their examinations. The most awesome experience ever. First of all my appointment was at 10 AM, and unfortunately there was a fatal car crash while we were in route. We ended up getting there almost an hour later. I thought for sure, they would say I’m sorry, we have to reschedule you. They treated us like we were GOLD. They got us right in. The front staff was very gracious and kind. This is not our “normal“ veterinarian, as we were there for a cosmetic consultation with Dr. Murphy. We do not live close, by any means. Dr. Murphy rocks !! She knows her stuff inside and out.
Their prices are very reasonable. All I can say, is WOW! From start to finish !! I am very impressed !! More...

We have had many dogs and cats over the years and had been to a fee different vets
. Our last vet retired and sold his practice and we were not happy with the doctor at all. So when we got our Beagle puppy we searched for a new Dr. We came across Dr Valentine and absolutely love her and the office staff! We had some concerns about our sweet girls behavior and constant eating inappropriate things .They took our concerns seriously .The doctor herself even called and checked on her. They also have a behaviorist who does training and obedience classes... after only 2 classes we have seen a huge improvement! We still have a ways to go but I am confident by the time classes are over she will be well on her way ! So happy we found this clinic ! More...

I brought my new chinchilla Dahlia here for a check up and ultrasound. She had been bred but the old owner no longer had time for her. The staff and doctors were so kind and helpful! They were able to find two babies (possibly three!) on the ultrasound and allowed me to watch. Dahlia was completely comfortable throughout the process due to the patience and understanding of the staff. They even gave me resources and info to take home so I could guarantee she gets everything she needs to help her in her pregnancy. I am truly blown away with the entire crew and thank every single one of them for not only showing interest in my chinchilla but also putting my worries at ease and leaving me feeling confident that I was doing everything right for her. Called for I was concerned about my dog and was told to come in immediately. Dr. Culpepper is a caring and compassionate veterinarian. She diagnosed Nicky's condition and recommended options for her speedy recovery. This was a life threatening situation and A&BH of Clearwater was kind enough to let me bring my puppy in right away. Dr Murphy and her staff have cared for our fur babies for 2 decades and always provide exceptional care. Most recently Dr Murphy and Candy assisted in letting our beloved 18 year old cat "Love" pass at home. While our hearts were broken, the compassion shown will allow us to heal. Today was my first visit to see Dr. Murphy and her INCREDIBLE team! I am beyond impressed with the level of compassion and care we received. Not only was the staff extremely professional and quick, my 2 year old lab loved them! Everyone on staff is so knowledgeable and very personable. They really do care about the animals. My dog LOVES coming here. Even when she is injured, she loves coming here because they take such good care of her and love her. There is a doggie day care behind the vet's office and my dog just loves going there too. Best vet I have ever been to. Every doctor and every staff member is kind and personable. The services are always top notch. My dog loves her vet. She never has to muzzle her. My dog just loves interacting with Dr culpepper. But we have seen dr. Murphy and dr. Valentine and they are all awesome. Never have any of them pushed a service she didn't need. They are all wonderful. I have been seeing Dr. Murphy for many years, and she is the best. Over the years she has treated eleven cats and seven dogs of mine, with expertise, and has been there with compassion when we had to say good bye to them. One thing I have always appreciated is that she never oversells a treatment. She will tell me the options and respect my decisions. Dr. Culpepper is just as great, and the staff is very professional. We drive from Brooksville to Dr. Murphy and staff because they are the best! We have been clients for 15 years and will never go elsewhere! We have tried other vets for the simple fact that we moved a ways away and what a mistake that was! The care we receive for our babies by Dr. Murphy, Candy, Shelia and Amy to name a few, is nothing short of amazing! They are always there to accommodate us for whatever we need. Dr. Murphy and the team go way above and beyond to take care of the family members. Dr Murphy has taken care of KB and Opal since they were little and still today anytime KB comes in the staff can't decide on who gets him lol. The entire staff takes care of all the pets like they were there own. I would NEVER take my furries to anyone else but Dr. Murphy and the staff. They all have such great and positive attitudes something you don't find much anymore. If you never been I highly recommended seeing them you won't regret it More...

Awesome place.  We had a family emergency and had to leave for Houston to be with our son in the hospital. We have had to extend our German shepherd's stay twice.  Each time they have been so helpful. We had always used them for our pet in the past and everything has always been great but you really find out what people are like when you need them. Dr.Murphy has been an inspiration to my family! She does not give up on tough cases and continues to amaze me with her intellect and instincts. My 13 year old poodle, Winston, lost the hair on his torso over several years. He had lost 1/4 of his body weight and looked very ill although lab tests did not reveal a cause. Dr Murphy allowed me to brainstorm with her and the ultimate result is Win's beautiful, thick, black coat!!! And, he's gaining weight! We are so Grateful!!! More...

We have had dogs and cats all our lives so have had a lot of experiences with vets.  We had to put down our sweet Beagle over a year ago. The vet we were using sold his practice and we were not thrilled with the new one so when we got our puppy a couple of months ago we searched for a new one. We went to one place and they didn't not take our concerns seriously so we searched some more....We found Animal and Bird Hospital of Clearwater and are thrilled ! The office staff and behavior specialist from the very first phone call were so kind and knowleable and did not blow off our concerns...at our first appt Dr Valentine was very professional and kind....she actually called herself a couple of days later to check on our baby.  We are more than pleased and look forward to long relationship More...

Today was my first visit to see Dr. Murphy and her INCREDIBLE team! I am beyond impressed with the level of compassion and care we received. Not only was the staff extremely professional and quick, my 2 year old Lab loved them! Our last vet office told us they were unable to clean our Labs ears because they couldn't "control" her, and that her size made it difficult for them (she is an average size adult lab, about 70lbs.) While Dr. Murphy sat with me and educated me on the issues my Lab was experiencing with her ear, her assistant took my dog and had her back within 15 mins. Her nails were cut, her ears were clean, medication was administered and heart worm test was done. I was in absolute shock when they told me she just stood there and let them cut her nails (seeing as I was used to dealing with our old vet). I know it has everything to do with their level of professionalism and compassion towards animals. I also couldn't believe how many pets and owners they knew by name as I was sitting waiting for our name to be called. I HIGHLY recommend this office!!! I had to take my sweet little 11 year old Boston Terrier to be boarded for 4 days. I hated to do it since the last time I boarded her she acted weird for about a week. But you gotta do what you gotta do and I took her to the pet resort. You may love dogs and think you're a dog person. Until you meet the staff at the pet resort. They are definitely dog people and show a lot of love and care to these "guests"The hours are convenient and I was able to pick my pup up on a Sunday afternoon. And she acted perfectly fine.  I would recommend this place to anyone looking for dog boarding. More...

From routine check ups and vaccines to urgent care because your pup finds a way to get into the trash and eat everything in sight, you will always get the best care and treatment at Animal and Bird Hospital. Many people would say, "they charge too much!!" However, I've been to other places, I've had to deal with other Drs. I had one tell me dogs don't get depressed or miss owners who die, it's just me. Needless to say we never went back. I searched for another one and I had a friend recommend her vet, Animal &Bird Vet. That was back in 2006 and we have come here ever since. Back then we had a big chocolate lab names Samson. He was the sweetest boy. We lost him 2011 but I was so glad that Animal & Bird were a part of his care and life. When he passed they were not open but when they got the paper work later I received a card from them. It was so very sweet. Since then we have added two cats and two dogs to our family, our newest being an 11 week old Beagle. All our pets receive exceptional care and love from all the staff there, not just the Vets. Our pets have had multiple or weird things that they have treated without excessive amounts of test that would cost me an arm and leg. Now with the new puppy they are the best with love and care. There is also a grooming and boarding place in the back that is part of their business but they don't run it. We have boarded our pets many times abs have always been happy. If you need puppy training or dog obedience classes they offer that too. Micro chipping, shots, surgeries....all things pets!I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who ants the best care for their four legged fury babies!!!Dr Culpepper and Dr. Valentine are wonderful!!!!! This is my absolute all time favorite vets office. We moved farther away and I'll still drive up to see them instead of local vets. Patti is always SO nice no matter how swamped the front is and all of the assistants I've met are SO nice as well. They always make you feel like your pet is the cutest which is a great feeling :) I docked a star because I went to their office today for a new puppy I have and just wanted to share the horrible experience I had with dr. Baur. She was so rude and ignorant. Make sure if you come to this amazing office that you DO NOT see her. My puppy is four months old and I explained that I was aware he was due for his last booster (16wk set) but that I've just been going to the local feed store and getting his boosters there as instructed by the breeder. She looked at me like I had three heads and acted like I get the boosters from some back alley black market. She proceeded to rudely tell me that I shouldn't do that because I don't know what I'm doing, and that if I don't give the shots EXACTLY three weeks apart on the SAME DAY and somewhat of the SAME TIME, that it's a waste of the shot and it doesn't work. If you go to any feed store there is a table from the company that makes the shots that SHOWS YOU a time frame of 8 weeks booster then comes the 11-12 week booster then lastly is the 16 week booster. I've never had a vet tell me anything otherwise. I understand of course she would prefer getting them done at that office but if it cost me over $50 for a booster compared to $11 at the feed store...:I'm sorry but I'm going to the feed store. So freakin rude, I will never again see Dr. Baur and I wish she'd just find a cheap clinic to work at because that's what her customer service feels like. Instead I'll continue to only see Dr. Valentine who is the best! To Patti and the assistant I saw today..THANK YOU for always being so accommodating and friendly even though it was hectic day for ya'll with no computer system :) More...
