Andrew did the photography for our wedding in September 2018. Andrew was very professional and did an amazing job. The formal photos at the weddings I've been to previously have always taken hours. We loved that our formal photos were taken in relatively very little time, which meant we could actually just enjoy our wedding and mix with our guests. We didn't even see Andrew most of the time as he was very discreet, which made us and everyone else feel at ease. We'd definitely recommend Andrew for anyone's photography. On the day Andrew was professional, kept us calm, blended in with our guests and got some amazing shots of everything we asked for. The edited photos are stunning, Andrew captures the day so perfectly, whilst we have staged shots there’s also natural shots which we love. We chose Andrew to be our photographer for our wedding in July of last year and it was the best decision we could have made! He was absolutely amazing! From meeting Andrew on day 1, he was so professional and genuinely interested in what sort of people we were and what would make our wedding special for us. He made sure he included every single detail in our special day and nothing was too much trouble. Every photo he took, showed the thought he had put into it before taking the shot and for us that felt really personal and genuine. On our wedding day, Andrew had an assistant with him (David) who was also amazing and a true gentleman. Andrew and David were an excellent team to have on our wedding day - both professional as well as being very friendly and fun on the day, they clearly enjoy what they do. They were very discreet that often we were unaware of their presence. We were unable to meet Andrew in person prior to the wedding, however it was very easy to organise the day with him through email and over the phone.

We asked for just a few specific family shots and let them take the lead during the rest of the day - and they came up with some great ideas, capturing the whole day with our guests very well. The result has been a mix of lovely natural shots of everything that happened during the day, and some shots of us around the venue - really capturing the day beautifully.

We had Andy to shoot our wedding back in 2014 and he was excellent. As someone who isn’t a big fan of having my photo taken he made it very relaxed and comfortable, not just for me but for everyone involved in our day. Some of the photos we ended up with are amazing and we have had made into canvases for ourselves and many family members. Most wedding photographers stay for the device and the speeches and then do off but Andy stayed at our wedding well into the evening reception and provided us with some excellent pictures of the evening guests who can normall miss out, both my wife and I were taken back by his dedication and commitment to our entire day not just the wedding service itself. If any of my friends or family were to ask me for a recommendation for a photgrapher for there wedding or event I Would have no hesitation in recommending Andy. In addition to expertise in photography, some of the most important requirements a bride and groom need in a wedding photographer is trust, reliability, experience and comfort in front of the camera. From beginning to end we had all of this with Andrew.

Before our wedding day, we met with Andrew a few times to discuss the wedding packages, expectations and requests. On each of the occasions Andrew was professional, understanding and had experience, options and a response to any questions we had. We met at the venue to discuss ideas and he again provided us with details of possibilities.

On the day of the wedding, he was not only prompt with timekeeping but also very comfortable with the guests. Andrew captured the day from start to finish, many of the photographs were taken as portrait and formal, and many others of moments that could not be captured by us due to everything going on.

Our families and guests are impressed with the end product almost as much as us. We have so many great memories captured thanks to Andrew, it is difficult to find a favourite.

Our wedding in April 2014 was photographed by Andrew and a colleague. We were very happy with the personal service we received from the intial point of contact and replies to my multiple emails late at night to the actual big day itself. Andrew actually helped me to feel calmer than I was on the day! He captured our requested photos but also others we hadn't thought about. We had the pleasure of working with Andrew and Ruth on our wedding day in February 2014 at Gisborough Hall.
From start to finish they were professional, friendly and made sure we got the photos we wanted.
It was like having 2 extra guests at the wedding, they made us both feel at ease throughout the day and had such a good laugh with us too!
The photos we have as a result are amazing and have given us some fantastic memories of our wedding day, exactly as we wanted them!

We got married last month and have just received the DVD of images and we are thrilled with them! Andrew and Ruth have been absolutely brilliant all the way through the planning process and were great on the day itself. We loved the fact that they were more than happy for us to suggest what types of photos we had in mind and also used their photographers-eye to take some truly beautiful shots that had never even crossed our minds taking a mixture of formal, posed and reportage-style shots. They are really lovely people who put us at our ease on what could have been quite a stressful day, made sure that the day wasn't all about spending hours taking photos and have left us with masses of gorgeous photos that capture the day perfectly - our only problem now is narrowing down the selection for our album as we are so spoilt for choice. We found Andrew Davies website and were impressed with the quality of the photos in his online galleries. We were even more impressed with how feasible his prices were. We live in Canada and had to organize everything with him via email, which was very easy with his in-depth checklist that he provided us. We showed up in York, England and hoped for the best. And we feel we got the best. The photos were beautiful. We had a general idea of what we wanted, and were impressed with his ability to think on his feet while we were walking around and find other beautiful shots we never would have thought of! We loved all the candid photographs he took that we had no idea about! While the groom and best man were being photographed, my maid of honour and I would be chatting and laughing... not even realizing he was photographing us every so often in between his shots of the guys! He walked through the reception area where people were milling about before dinner so unobtrusively that he was able to take so many wonderful candid shots without anyone feeling like they were being stalked by a photographer! He just blended in and truly captured the essence of the day! Turn around time was very fast, as well! The photos were ready before we even got back to Canada from our honeymoon!
