We cannot thank Amber enough for capturing our wedding day. From the moment we hired Amber, we knew she would be the perfect photographer for us. She is so professional and really tries to get to know her couples from the very beginning. All of my friends who were planning their weddings were so jealous that my photographer sent a book with tips for engagement pictures, wedding day, and timelines. It was so helpful to when trying to make decisions throughout the planning process. Amber was able to work with us to meet via FaceTime before our wedding day to connect to ensure that our wedding day was not the first time we would be meeting since we live out of state. On the wedding day, her and Mitchell made us feel so comfortable and allowing us to be ourselves and truly capture our emotions in our wedding pictures. They are the sweetest couple and made sure we were taken care of all night. They were also so patient with our dog to make sure they were able to capture great pictures of her with us as well. It's hard to put into words how special Amber Hatley is to me. Her beauty radiates from the inside out, and the person behind the camera is just as perfect as the images you see on her site. I did not know Amber before hiring her for my wedding, but I had a feeling I was going to love her from her beautiful and natural images full of so much laughter and joy - not to mention her sweet and genuine captions. From our first conversation on the phone a year before our wedding (which lasted an hour because we couldn't stop talking!), I knew my initial thoughts were right and that our wedding would be in the best of hands. I immediately booked Amber for our Biltmore wedding. Not only was Amber my wedding photographer, she also became a very close friend of mine throughout our wedding planning process. Even though I have only known Amber for a year, I feel like we have been best friends forever because that's the type of person she is. From our sunrise engagement session and my bridal portraits, to our wedding night Amber captured every single special and intimate moment with grace and the biggest smile on her face. She's creative and always goes the extra mile to get the PERFECT shot. The first time my husband and I met Amber in person was at the Biltmore Gardens at 5am. She was so full of energy, excitement, and love (and had just had her precious baby girl less than a month before!!!). Seriously, she can do it all. Amber had the same energy, excitement, and love from the first time we met her at midnight on our wedding day as she was taking our exit pictures. She truly is an angel on earth and her work is the most beautiful and unique. Amber always had sneak peeks available for us within 24 hours and was just as excited to show us the images as we were to see them! She loves her clients, prays for them, and will go above and beyond to make sure your special day is what you have always dreamed of. She even went to our venue at Biltmore days before our wedding to make sure she had scouted out the most perfect locations for all of our images rain or shine. I would always update Amber on every little detail about our wedding and she always had the best advice and was so genuinely excited just to hear what I was up to. Let’s face it every bride wants to have the best photographer possible and it can be a stressful task choosing the right one. The first day Amber and I spoke on the phone her little boy Haddon was sick and talking with her that day I could just tell she was the sweetest, most genuine and caring momma and photographer! And I was 100% right! Our personalities fit perfectly with one another. Taylor and I were really nervous about taking pictures professional, but during the engagement session she made us feel like naturals and put our minds at ease for the wedding day. I mean what photographer would hike up to the top of Craggy Pinnacle for a photo right after having baby Scotlyn… AMBER! She also talked us into doing a first look and it was the best thing we could have done! Spending that extra time with just each other was so special. Her and Mitchell were the cutest helping us with our wedding portraits, they even showed us a couple of poses before we did them (perks of having a husband and wife team)! Amber was wonderful to work with! From the very first interaction, she was so welcoming. She answered my 7 million emails leading up to our engagement session super quickly and made perfect suggestions for location based on the look we wanted for our pictures. During our session she made us super comfortable and had us laughing the whole time. Amber let us bring our pup to the session as well She made sure we looked perfect the whole time, from fixing flyaway hair and straightening up wrinkled clothes. Our session flew by so quickly but we knew our pictures were going to be beautiful. We got our pictures back sooner than the time frame she quoted us and we were blown away by them. ABSOLUTELY. FREAKING. GORGEOUS. So so beautiful and so so many. Unfortunately we weren't able to get her for our wedding but we know those would have been wonderful as well. I had an unexpected trip to China come up on the date that we were originally planning to shoot, and she was so kind and flexible to help us reschedule. Picking out our wedding photographer was such a big decision but definitely wasn't the hardest. Amber's sweet, Christian personality sold me right away. I'm not one that really prefers to be in front of the camera, but Amber made everything about all of our sessions so comfortable and worry free. Her work is fabulous and she made everyone feel at ease at the wedding. Mitchell is a great photographer as well and is there for whatever it it that you may need, including carrying flowers and dresses. Amber and Mitchell are a dream to work with! I have known of Amber for a long time and have followed her work since she started.
Days after I got engaged I had already emailed Amber to set up a time to meet, I was hooked within minutes of sitting down with her! She's the sweetest thing you'll ever meet and though she's small, she's fierce and insanely talented!
I think most brides have some anxiety when it comes to how their grooms will behave when taking pictures. Amber/Mitchell couldn't have been more patient and encouraging during each session to calm our nerves (mostly my husbands) and make sure every detail was captured!
Now that everything has settled, looking through our pictures has been the best part. She brought my colors and vision to life with the snap of a finger. I truly can't pick a favorite photo, I love them all so much. We will never get tired of reliving our perfect day! I'd recommend her time and time again to anyone looking for a photographer for any event/stage in life!

Amber and her husband Mitchell were absolutely phenomenal and wonderful to work with! The first time I met her I instantly fell in love with her bubbly, sweet, and warm personality. She was so easy to talk too and get to know and very personable, but at the same time very professional. I was so nervous for our engagement photos because we had never been in front of the camera. Amber quickly made us feel so comfortable by showing us poses and giving us tips. Needless to say it worked because our photos turned out so gorgeous! We had heard about Ambers work through some friends. We did our research and as soon as we saw her portfolio we had to talk to her. Amber was great! She was wonderful to work with and so sweet. She helped us set up a timeline that would work best for our wedding day. We were unable to meet before our big day but we spoke on the phone and stayed in constant contact.
