I stumbled across the Alplings stall one day at the Morningside market - and what a find! They are delicious, especially with the sauce, and now that I can get them for home freezing, what started out as the occasional lunchtime treat has become dinner on a worryingly regular basis. I think I have a problem and may be addicted to Alplings. More...

I went to Alplings today for lunch with my good friend Callum and I ate one of the best lunches I've had in a long time. We each had dumplings for the main course followed by a portion of Apfel strudel. The latter was beautiful! I can't wait to go back to Alplings to try some of their other dishes. Lastly, this is the first time I have taken the time to compliment a cafe or restaurant, but in Alplings case I felt I needed to write a favourable comment as Alplings' food, and the cafe's friendly and helpful staff really made my day.
