What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Being in the right place, with the right light and having a quick reflex to capture what you are able to see, before its gone.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I normally like to meet my clients first to get a sense of their personality and our chemistry, its an important piece of getting the right shot. Typically when it involves children, you have to be flexible and open to things not going smoothly, but being patient to wait for the right shots.
I tend to ask what they like about personal photos, what they don't like, what makes them nervous, etc.
What do you love most about your job?
Being able to capture beautiful, candid moments of people and gorgeous landscapes. I tend to approach my work to capture things as they happen, rather than forcing things into posed moments -- it feels fake and you tend to not get the truest expressions of your clients.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've always loved being behind a camera - and I've decided its a fun way to continue to express my creative side and meet new people.
Why should our clients choose you?
I tend to be pretty laid back but also have a good sense of what will work well for whatever their needs are. A lot of my other clients have had a great time with me and appreciate my approach to family and lifestyle photos.
