This lady is amazing. She took some photos of our old pony before we had to let him go and they were amazing and will be treasured forever.
She managed to capture him in all his glory. When others saw an old pony she saw the cheeky boy we all loved.

Q&As

A connection with your subject is really important. Try to make a photo session fun and stop or change location when your subject has had enough.
Great photos speak to the viewer and capture a moment in time. You don't need heaps of equipment for a decent portrait, just an understanding of light and how to manipulate it. For wedding photos, I would say; keep your eyes and ears open and watch for those moments of joy and people being people. When your wedding clients look through their album and see all the little moments you captured for them that they didn't get to see on the day, it's such a pleasure to make them that happy!

What do you want to do with the photos?
What sort of photos do you like?
Black and white or colour?
Wall art or a book?
Is this for yourself or a gift?
Where will the session take place, inside or out?
For pets, what and how many animals and would you like to be included in the photos or any other human members of the family?
For children, natural documentary images or more formal posing?

When the light and the subject just click together and you know that you're getting some gorgeous images and you can't wait to see them full size! Then you have them printed on beautiful german rag paper and they look and feel stunning and you know you've produced a piece of art that your client will love and treasure forever:)

Most photographers are freelance. I've had photography in my life for pretty much all of it in one shape or another so it seemed natural to try to make a living out of it. I want to produce top quality art, not cheap because anyone can do that. My top package prints are museum grade, professionally framed and certified to last a hundred years!

Every photographer is different. You must look at the work they are consistently producing to see if you actually like it because that is what your photos will look like.
So, choose me if you like what I'm doing. ( My name into google will bring up a selection of my work)
