Very friendly and knowledgeable plumber.
My boiler was having the pressure constantly dropping and then tripping out.

Alex installed a new boiler in our old house and did the plumbing for a kitchen refit. He also very, very kindly came out at 6pm on a Friday after I tried to fix a leak and made it worse! ! Our boiler died in our new house and Alex put a new one in yesterday. He's always super busy but went out of his way to fit us in. His prices are always very reasonable (I was braced for a much heftier bill for this boiler) and he and Paul are genuine, friendly and very good at what they do. Whilst doing a normal boiler install, he discovered two gas leaks and spent hours isolating them and making our place safe. He was thorough and friendly and put up with a very excitable puppy! He tidied up after himself nicely even though he had spent so long with us he had to jet straight off to another job and even though he had to rip up carpets and take out flooring to find the leaks. We have used Alex a few times for different jobs and have been extremely happy with his work.
He’s trustworthy, very friendly, takes real pride in his work. I also feel that Alex is not about the money. Had a few quotes for a job and another company was a few hundred pounds more expensive.
Also after finishing the job he made sure that he cleaned up and left the area spotless which impressed my wife very much.
All in all I would highly recommend Alex and he’s the only company I would use.

My boiler wasn't firing & I was unsure of the issue although I thought it needed repressurising. I phoned Alex and sent him some photos of the boiler and he phoned me straight back with instructions on how to repressurise the boiler myself. I'm so grateful to him for this phone assistance. He could have said that he needed to come & do it himself so there would have been a call-out charge etc but he didn't. I can't recommend Alex Maggs Plumbing enough. Our bathroom is now our favourite room of our house. First off Alex and his team are very friendly and approachable. On asking for a quote Alex came out on the same day and quoted verbally, followed up by an email when we firmed up our requirements.
Stripping down was done quickly with minimum mess and plaster boarding donecin one day. Alex's tiler is methodical and you can expect pin point accuracy on tile placement; plainly a very experienced tiler. Electricians worked efficiently and any plumbing niggles were corrected with good humour.
No complaints overall just be patient, a good job takes that little bit longer!
