This place is AWESOME; the best martial arts school in the area. My son LOVES the class! It's fast paced, fun, and exciting. The instructors are great and it's a positive environment for kids to channel their natural instincts in a controlled manner. I've never seen my son so excited! The first class was free, so give it a try! This is the real deal!

MARCH 2018 UPDATE: My bank has finally credited me my money back, the 107$ total that was stolen from me, by this gym. It was confirmed that I had read the contract correctly, which further reduces the point the owner makes below. I would be more than happy at any point to show how this money was taken from my account to anyone who is curious or possibly going through the same thing, if it is happening to them.

UPDATE REVIEW: the owner has been writing on my reviews in several places which I will admit is sort of funny, I didn't think it would get such a reaction especially from someone who was on the winning end of the situation , I've never seen that before. The owner states I need to read the contract. I have and as was stated very clearly in my original review which can be read below, there are two violations of the simple contract, one being a monetary one. I worked in law for some time, could show anyone the two clear violations with confidence with my copy of the contract.

Best advice I have, just avoid gyms with contracts, there is plenty of them out there and its easier without the commitment and awkward possible financial conflicts

ORIGINAL REVIEW: You can learn a thing or two here, you're more likely to get your ass kicked but the real issue is about the money. The owner has a contract you are supposed to sign, which seems typical of a martial arts gyms for waiver reasons and injury related issues, but without mentioning it (atleast in my case) he has you sign a contract with late fees and early termination fees that are really high. The contract isn't very well written, for some reason when I went through with my termination fee, the owner took 100$ more than the termination fee that was suggested on the contract, not to mention the money was taken out days before the specified date suggested from the contract. I let it go because my bank kept forgetting to take care of the matter as they suggested they would, and have way more important matters to tend to than another business sucking me for every dollar. So I took one to the gut which effected my finances for a while.

I've seen many places in Seattle that are cheaper month to month, which is odd because it cost more in Seattle than in Arlington to operate.

Overall its all about the money here and a lawsuit waiting to happen whether its from physical or financial means. Very few black belts teaching jiu jitsu (I think there's only one or two actual black belts ) only one being an instructor. The owner is not one of them.

Was looking for a place for my grandson that's local. Based upon the interaction of the "owner" with a dissatisfied customer I'm gonna stay away from here. Pretty shady how the "contract" was handled and it appears the owner is a stalker of those who comment in a negative fashion. . .bad vibes here. . .

Our kid loves this place. He goes 4 days a week and the owner is a great teacher. My son is 9 and has been going there for about 3 years now. All his teachers are amazing.

Great place. They seem to trust people more and are less rigid in what they teach. The BJJ folks are great teachers as they stop and tell you what you're doing wrong and what you can do better. If you don't know what to do in a certain position, just ask and they'll tell you.
They have two long kickboxing bags that are well worn in and won't break your hands or feet. They also have a water bag and all means of pads and sparring equipment. When I was there, they had fights on TV which is a great way to pump people up, so that's a huge plus.
