Andy is an amazing fitness trainer and has been in the business for 25 years . He is so patient , funny and the workouts are always different , so you get an excellent workout every time . Joined in September and have made it through the winter. Really pleased as have lost half a stone.
All down to eating healthy and regular exercise. This is due to Andy's help and encouragement. He is very passionate about his job. Lots of useful tips and advise.
Would definately recommend. Nice small classes, not like a gym.
If reading this give it a try as Andy always has offers on and normally you get three free classes to start so you've got nothing to lose.

Andy is very professional and motivating. I really enjoyed the workouts and they were tailored to my needs. Andy has the most helpful and understanding technique of training. He inspires and encourages us to push beyond where we ever imagined we could go. 3 weeks in and I'm seeing weight loss in clothes, I'm more toned and I have so much more energy. Weekly emails of recipes and stories really help with staying motivated and help to achieve our goals. I absolutely love AK Health and Fitness. I have lost 10 inches in the first week, I have managed to do 13000 steps everyday and more some days. Andy is very good as a personal trainer, he pushes you enough to get you motivated but takes into account your weaknesses and immediately works around them so you can still get to where you want to be! I would highly recommend Ak Health and Fitness. I couldn't do this weight loss journey without him. Honestly wish I could give more than 5 stars More...

I started with Andy King last March with a group of ladies in all different stages of fitness. I was fast approaching half a century and wanted to do something that improved my fitness, shape and weight. All of these things have been accomplished with Andy’s dedication , encouragement, skill and the wonderful team spirit that is present in our group. Half way through a block of PT sessions, I’m already feeling more flexible, energetic and less breathless. Andy is a brilliant trainer with good knowledge of muscle and diet, makes sure his exercises fit in with any pre-existing injuries and strengthen weak areas. First week you will ache after waking up every muscle you forgot you had, then see your weekly stats analysis and Bodyweight improve as Andy talks you through your stats and diet recommendations. The best decision I made this year was to join Folkestone Bootcamp. I did it to lose fat and build muscles to get fitter. The exercises are tiring but as they only last max a minute each you will survive no matter how unfit you are . You will also get the added bonus of a better mental state through exercise. Andy and his bootcamps came at a perfect time for me. I was sick of the gym, out of motivation, my work outs were so lazy and I wasn’t seeing any results I needed a change ! Andy is a great trainer gets you going, keeps you on track and makes you accountable. His bootcamps are FUN! And I’ve never said that about working out but I look forward to them. They are different every time. Don’t get me wrong they are not easy but my fitness levels went up so quickly and now I enjoy running and burpees. Great training environment with a small group, all in it together and we all push each other. His food advice is also great, instead of fad dieting and being unrealistic in what you can eat it’s sensible and instead of just yo yoing I am slowly losing body fat in a way I know I can maintain in the long run! Without a doubt the only guy you need to see if you wanna get yourself fit and healthy... I'm on my 4th week and I have lost weight, lost inches, dropped a dress size, gained muscle, increased energy, improved skin and met some amazing people along the way � I've tried a hundred different methods to keep fit and I can honestly say this is the BEST! It works!! You get FAST results and Andy is great at keeping you motivated and is full of so much knowlegde to help you along your way! Each session is different to keep it fresh.. you can be boxing one day, then playing tug of war the next ...don't get me wrong.. it gets HARD at times and you have to push yourself out of your comfort zone.. but it's sooo worth it! and exercising with the sea right next to you and in the fresh air is amazing! Even on rainy days it's great fun! �
If you are thinking about joining... DO IT! You won't regret it.. (and don't worry about exercising out in the open, honestly, you forget that people are around you, you will be having too much fun and working hard �) .. and the other ladies and gents here are amazing and so encouraging! �

Folkestone Boot camp is truly the best thing that I've ever done!!! 12 weeks ago I had no confidence, no energy, no get up and go and didn't know what to do! ! What a difference in just 12 weeks Im a completely different person. I've LOST 2 + 1/2 STONE. Andy's boot camps have definitely worked for me, they have changed my life!! I'm so much more confident now, I've got so much more energy, I feel fitter not only physically but mentally too I can now live the life I want. I can not recommend folkestone boot camps enough Andy's knowledge, support and motivation are amazing!!! I've DROPPED 8 DRESS SIZES ALREADY!! I'm absolutely over the moon!!! I am SO PROUD of the way my body is starting to look after starting regular bootcamp sessions with Andy King 5 weeks ago.

Coupled with healthy eating and cutting down on alcohol and carbs, my tummy is the flattest it’s been for years and I feel like I’m getting stronger and more toned all over.

I’ve lost 11 lbs in the last 5 weeks and feel fantastic. It’s hard work but I love the variety of exercise within the sessions (HIT, circuits, boxing, sprints to name just a few!) and Andy and all the other bootcampers are brilliant fun and keep you focused, motivated and positive! I feel like I’m part of a family there which is exactly what I wanted �

I have had a few bad days this week where I have fallen off the wagon and eaten naughty foods (and too much of them!) but seeing myself like this is all the motivation I need to keep on going. Can’t wait for a sweaty bootcamp session on Monday. BRING IT ON ���

I have never been a fan of boot camps, but I am loving the experience with Andy! He is an amazing coach, who is very motivational and always keeps you going. He knows exactly what to say to push you just a little bit further :-)
I would recommend Andy's boot camps to anyone who has a busy life schedule but still needs to move and exercise. You will be grateful you signed up!

What I love the most is the sense of community. Such a friendly group!
My 2nd favourite bit of Folkestone Bootcamp is the being able to workout while the toddler can stay home with dad before he has to get ready for work.
I definitely recommend it to everyone struggling to fit exercising into their lives. The classes are so engaging that time flies. �

I can't recommend @andyking's Folkestone Boot Camps highly enough. Having been stuck behind a desk for years without putting time aside to exercise, I knew just signing up to a gym wasn't going to work for me. I wanted something more structured with the added value of advice and motivation.

I stumbled across Folkestone Boot Camps online and the reviews and Facebook videos gave an insight into what to expect, but it's been an even better experience than I imagined!

I've only been taking part for 3 weeks (3 times a week), but in that time - thanks to Andy's boot camp sessions, his nutrition advice and healthy eating plans, app-based motivational support and the great commaradarie of the sessions - I'm already seeing the benefits. I've broken bad eating habits and feel stronger and healthier than I have in years. I can't wait to see what the next few months bring.

The sessions vary day by day from circuits to beach training, core strength work and even some boxing. Andy pushes all of us to the right point to get the best out of it that we can.

I've never enjoyed getting fit before, but I am now, and actually look forward to my Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning sessions.

If anyone's worrying about whether it's right for them or not, just give it a go - we're a friendly lot!

I’ve been training with Andy at his bootcamps for nearly two years and over that time my body shape has changed for the better. My bat wings have reduced and my belly overhang has almost disappeared but the best thing is that I feel happier about my body again. I was a size 14 heading towards 16 and now I’m a comfortable size 14 and can wear some of my old size 12 dresses again.

If you want to lose weight, you have to eat less and Andy’s eating plan helps with that. If you stick to it religiously for a month, you will really see a difference. Hopefully then that will give you the motivation to keep going. There will be aches and pains at first as your body adjusts and you may need the odd massage or osteopathy appointment, but Andy can work round any problems. You just have to stick at it...

Although I love the summer holidays, the reality is often days on the sofa with zero energy and a pile of junk food. This year, I really wanted to break the cycle so I finally plucked up the courage to apply for one of Andy’s boot camps that I had seen on Facebook and I’m so glad I did! Andy has high expectations, is kind in his approach and offers an abundance of support. The other bootcamp @5.30 ladies are amazing too and you really feel like “we’re in it together”. The Leas is a beautiful setting to work out and I love going home with the day still ahead of me- with more energy! I first reviewed Andy King and Folkestone Bootcamps after 4 weeks (see below) and now after 5 months I simply cannot recommend it enough. In the last 23 weeks I have lost 3 stone in weight and a massive 56 cm over various bits of me. More importantly I am healthier than I have been for years. I can't stress enough what a brilliant trainer Andy is, and without his continued support together with the rest of the group I would have given up ages ago. It doesn't matter how old you are - I am definitely one of his more senior members - or how out of condition you are, there's something for everybody. Why don't you contact Andy and get healthy? "I signed up with Andy for a “fat furnace” course, after seeing a post on Facebook, genuinely not knowing if I would be able to do it - 4 weeks later I’m eating better, feeling fitter and 14 pounds lighter! Andy is brilliant at keeping you motivated and making sure you push yourself out of your comfort zone every session, meaning constant improvement. I have been training with Andy for coming up to 6 weeks now and the results have been incredible for me personally! I wanted to have that foundational, functional fitness prior to Christmas and to set myself up for success in 2018. Andy's training is tough but not overly so ... Andy knows JUST how to push people to progress them every week and he has a fantastic ability to see the strengths in each individual person and knows how to get the most out of them. I also enjoyed the difference in each session, nothing is ever the same and I can say I have dropped so far 4% bodyfat and lost over 8lbs! Since I started training with Andy, I have noticed a huge difference in my energy levels due to a combination of nutrition advice and the exercise. I have also managed to shed almost a stone in weight and have enjoyed the journey as no one session is the same. I've been training with Andy at AK Health & Fitness for the past few months and it's not only given me a boost physicality but it has also increased my mental wellbeing immensely. I've found that the weight is dropping off me and coupled with the healthy eating advice that is given I am confident that my whole attitude towards my health has changed for the long term. Training is varied and challenging but also great fun and pleasantly addictive.
Before I started training with AK Health and Fitness was a real couch potato and gaining the pounds constantly. This decision has made me change my whole life style and there really is no looking back now.

I've been training with Andy for a year now and feel like a new person. Within six weeks I felt stronger with higher energy levels. I've lost stubborn weight around my stomach and have slimmed down a dress size but the best effect has been on my energy levels and core strength. At the end of day I used to dread climbing the stairs to the top to fetch something, now it's easy. I used to have problems with my knees too and no longer do. For the last 2 years I have felt mentally and physically ashamed of myself. I used to be very active and confident but now overweight and lazy. I had to admit defeat, doing it on my own just wasn't working. Seeing Andy's advert for the first time sent the fear of God through me. There was no way I would exercise in front of strangers. But then thought maybe that's exactly what I need, a 'good kick up the A***'! I took the plunge and felt petrified before my first session. Weighing myself and taking measurements frightened the life out of me. It was a realistic slap in the face. I soon learnt that Andy was not the ogre I expected!! He is very friendly, chatty and knowledgeable. Andy gives me the motivation and encouragment I need . He is fantastic with people and makes the sessions really enjoyable. In the beginning I was a bit up and down but now look forward to the sessions. I feel the doubts about myself falling away and for the first time I've seen my weight drop and my fitness increase. My goals are to lose 2st and get back to the physical and mental state I used to be. I have every confidence that Andy's boot camps will get me there. I have previously attended Andys bootcamps to raise my fitness levels and get in shape which really worked.I then gave up for a while. I am now following a 28 day diet and excercise plan with Andys guidance and support as I still needed to shift a stone which was part of my weight gain after giving up the ciggies five years ago.Having completed the first week I can feel the difference already, basically in the way my clothes fit and I have lost 3 pounds in weight so far. Andy does make you work hard at these boot camp sessions but you can also work at your own pace.He is also very knowledgeable and offers good support and advice on nutrician and excercise. More...

I signed up for personal training with Andy a couple of years ago, I was overweight, unfit and my diet was appalling. I had no clue where to begin. With Andy's programme I lost a lot of weight, gained muscle and lost fat every week. He pushes you just enough to see results but not so much that sends you running scared. Folkestone boot camps? For me an introduction from a friend so I went along not knowing what to expect. An hours work out amongst others of varying abilities. Andy who runs it gives great advice for whatever you want from it, losing weight or for me just getting fit. Been going for a couple of months now and am now feeling the benefit. I have been attending Andy's bootcamp classes since September 2012. Each class begins with interval training along the Folkestone Leas - which certainly blows away the cobwebs - and is followed by indoor circuits. I have been attending Andy;s Boot camp classes for about 3 months now and throughly enjoy it. He is an enthusiastic and dedicated trainer who gives excellent nutritional advice whilst motivating and supporting throughout the class, also exercising outdoors is very invigorating. I've been going to Andy's bootcamp classes for a couple of months now and am really enjoying it. I have a good level of fitness however Andy is really motivational and focuses on High Intensity Impact Training (HIIT), mainly outdoors. Its been great to get up in the morning (Wednesdays at 6am) or head outside after work (Mondays at 7.30pm) and do a variety of sprints, beach runs, hill runs<span id="moreReview343902" class="hide"> combined with a variety of other exercises. I have been training with Andy for over 2 years and have never felt fitter. Andy is always on good form and gets you motivated to try your best and then give that little bit extra! As a working mum of 5 kids I never thought I would enjoy exercise as much as I do, I hated it at school as I wasn't any good at it but I'm sure I'm not alone in that. Since leaving the Royal Navy in October 2009, I've been looking for a fitness class that mirrors the professionalism, variety and effectiveness of military circuit training. The boot camp does this and is suitable for people like me, who have let their fitness levels slip! I like the fact that half the class is spent outside whilst muscle groups are targetted and worked on inside afterwards. Awesome boot camp. Its hard work, but then that is the point. Andy has been a personal trainer to my partner and I since September of last year. He is always extremely encouraging in the sessions and has bought us to a level of fitness that we, as 'desk jockeys', didnt believe we would achieve. I have specific needs (marathon training) and Andy has researched a come up with a target specific program that will suit me. <br /><br />When a recurring injury happened on a run (not with Andy) then he adapted my program to help rehab and continue training. Work hard! there is no secret, eat a good healthy balance of fruit and vegetables, together with plenty of protein, water, and add exercise to the package and you have a recipe for success! training needs to be intense for good results, although if you only want to improve your wellbeing or flexibility you dont have to go too mad!

Getting someone who never really liked any sort of training. but realized that to improve their wellbeing and longevity, they would have to find something they liked and helping them do that, then starting to see that person enjoying, and feeling much better about themselves, realizing the amazing effect of being healthy and training regularly, once you go there.....you don't come back!
