Aiya Photographer did our wedding photos. We contacted them a few months prior to the wedding and felt very confident with them. We talked close to the wedding about the details and schedule. Aiya photography was such a pleasure to have be a part of our wedding day! They were professional and made us feel relaxed and excited the whole day, even when we were running behind for other reasons. We opted to save money by only getting one photographer (Aamir himself) and he was able to get so many amazing shots from more angles than we thought he could get by himself. I don't think that this review will express how happy and satisfied we were with Aiya photography, but i'll give it a shot. Firstly, I think it's important to speak about how easy it was to work with Aamir for the planning and day of videography for our wedding. In additon to being super talented he is delightful to work with. He was responsive heading into the wedding and he and his crew were a blast on the day of.As for the quality of the videography. My wife and I have watched it several times and we haven't made it through without tearing up and laughing. This video is our way of reliving the bast day of our life. We researched many wedding videographers before deciding on AIYA and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From the beginning working with them was like talking to an old friend and their communication is extremely responsive. Most importantly we loved the finished product. Our videos captured the magic of our wedding day. I have watched the videos over and over and they still make me laugh and cry (or cry from laughing) every time. The best part is finding all the hidden surprises AK added into the video. BTS stuff we had no idea was happening until it was revealed in the video. This is a joint review from Ben and Sonia, written by Sonia! It was one of the luckiest finds ever to have sourced Aiya Photography (we worked directly with Aamir and his team) for our Indian wedding. I found them through a rabbithole search, as all wedding planning goes. I called them, Aamir called me back almost immediarely- we spoke- and immediately I knew we had our photography team! We spoke about which services I wanted- one of which was a short little "welcome video" to show at my reception. We worked for a few months on the creative aspects of what we were looking for in the video- Ben and I wanted a more subtle story of our love. Aamir worked with us creatively, offering his expertise and opinions while also blending ours- which was honestly perfect! The video shoot day was so much fun, and to see it come to life (as you absolutely can on their FB page!). Visuals, theme, and creativity was palpable! Weekend of our wedding- they were fanatastic- it was a destination wedding and they had awesome placed lined up for us to do our photography! They were able to deal with our crazy timelines and wild families and do it with love, humor, and grace. We loved it all, and they were one of our favorite vendors! Aamir and his team at AIYA Photography are amazing! I was crying, laughing, and smiling while my husband and I watched our highlight wedding video for the first time! ! My parents were visiting and had the chance to sit and watch the highlight and raw video with us and were blown away by AIYA Photography!! We can't thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts for capturing such beautiful moments and having us relive them entirely through our video! The Aiya Photography team is exceptional. Aamir and Atafa have such warm and wonderful personalities and truly exhibit the ideal "dream team". They were kind enough to accept our request in photographing our entire Indian wedding, including the Maiyan, Mendhi, Sangeet, Wedding Ceremony and Reception. With so many events over the course of a few days, they remained energetic and focused on capturing every special moment possible. This was by far one of the best experiences with pictures and video I've had.   Both were wonderful and easy to work with, which alleviated any stress for the day. From staged to candid,  the pictures came out beautiful and the videos...oh my.....fantastic!......I have watched it on repeat a few times.  It came out perfect! I was worried it may be one if those cheesy wedding videos, and it definetly was not.  Funny enough,  I had never imagined or thought i would want video at our wedding,  always dreaded watching them, and was leaning at not having it at all.  I was going to stick with pictures only,  as those were more important to me.  I'm so happy we went ahead and got the package, everytime I watch the video or look through the pictures I smile. Simply phenomenal!!  AK and his team were so focused on getting everything perfect.  He explained to us in detail what will take place on the day of and were open to any suggestions.  He would text us or call us immediately and would answer all our questions, which gave us a sense of assurance.  The photos are great!!  The videos are amazingl!! His photos captured both the fun and the romantic side.His style which is cinematography, is like a personal wedding music video. My husband and I got married in 2015 and after searching for what seemed like eons for a photographer, I finally found Aamir and his team. Aamir and I talked on the phone many times before we finally made a decision. He understood that I didn't want the "typical Desi uncle" shots and wanted a professional and that is exactly what I got. Aamir and his wife were absolutely AMAZING! They made my husband and I feel so comfortable along with my entire family. Aamir and team were absolutely amazing and one of the only vendors I had complete trust in for my wedding. Although I did have some sticker shock when i saw the package prices, it was worth it. Process1) sat down with Aamir and we went through his portfolio, my husband and i fell in love with his work and personality-wise we wanted to go grab a beer with him. He is very easy to be around and fun.2) checked in periodically throughout the process and communication was very professional and prompt3) closer to wedding date we took engagement pics and they turned out wonderfully, made us feel comfortable during the shoot and pics looked natural, great at giving advice on poses, glad we didn't have to be the experts4) day of we had Aamir and his partner, they traveled to space where we were getting ready before the wedding and im so grateful for those shots, they have such a gift at capturing the details of the wedding and people in attendance, they made themselves hide during the wedding but it was almost comforting to see Aamir during wedding since he felt like a friend after 12 mos of corresponding.Last i heard he had moved to nor cal, but if he ever comes back to Seattle area (and we had a kid), we'd ask him to do our family shots in a heartbeat.
