After deciding to return to my photography and video roots, I wanted to become as diversified as I could be.  So, after searching for the best in u SAS Part 107 training, I found Aeon.  I was completely satisfied with my time spent with these professionals.  Grep DuPrez was outstanding as a trainer, coach and mentor.  His organization of the class materials was thorough and his delivery and explanations over the 5 days was priceless in knowledge learned. Excellent experience! I travelled from San Juan, Puerto Rico to take the Part 107 Test Prep and Flight Course and received a wealth of information and drone flight instruction. Greg DePrez is extremely knowledgeable and an excellent instructor. As a result of this top notch school, I can happily say that I passed the test on the last day with a 93%. Over the past year I considered and vetted 6 unmanned sUAS (FAA pt. 107) training companies along the east coast and in Denver metro area. I decided to invest the money in a 5 day weeklong class, as opposed to the quick and cheap online classes offered by everyone and their uncle. The outfit that impressed me most was Aeon. From the first contact my gut told me this was the right one. Messages and emails are returned the same day, professional clean web site, and no hard sell - just lots of helpful information as to what to expect during the week of class. The instructors's and staff were extremely dedicated, knew the material well and presented it in a manner that me and my 5 classmates appreciated. The first two days all classroom lecture/instruction - no flying until day 3, which was perfect. Other companies have you flying on day 1, which makes no sense to me if you've never flown a UAS before. However after two days of class on flight control, safety, weather, radio, airspace, etc. we were all well prepared to fly and understand what the heck we were actually doing!! Day's 3 and 4 were flying indoors in a cool large sports dome building as well as outside at a AMA R/C flying site. But the bottom line of this course is to prepare you to pass the FAA pt. 107 exam, which we took on Friday, after a final review with our instructor. The point is our instructors were awesome, yet they're clearly serious about helping you grasp a load of unfamiliar information in the 4 days prior to the test - and they'll spend as much time with you as want.And, (last thing) the cost of Aeon's course I found was priced very fair and reasonable - compared to other companies I vetted that give you the hard sell, talk to you unprofessionally like their your buddy for the last 20 yrs, and charge almost twice as much for less. Thrilled I took the time to research the various options available, which allowed me to chose which I'm sure is one of best sUAS trainers out there. More...
