A Canine Experience has been taking care of our dogs for many years. Travel is much less stressful when you know you are leaving your dogs in good hands. They really care about the dogs and take the time to get to know them. More...

I brought my English Bulldog and Chinese Pug to A Canine Experience for the two week boarding/training and I'm very pleased with the results.  We finally made it back for our follow up lesson and it went great.  I learned lots of great tips, I can tell they love the dogs and I'm comfortable asking them whatever questions I have and they always have great tips.  Thank you so much!!  I just wish they were closer to Maple Valley!! My husband and I were at our wits end when our two male dogs started fighting for our attention. We knew we had to do something to protect the safety of the dogs and our family, but we didn't know where to start. Our dog, Beef, went to A Canine Experience for Board and Train while we went on vacation. When we got back, he had respect for the trainers and us. We are so impressed that we are enrolling our older dog, Meatball. Everyday we continue their training as the work is never done, but we can happily say that we are no longer afraid for our safety or that of our dogs. Everyone at A Canine Experience has been genuine and no BS with us. We will ask questions about our dogs' issues. The trainers understand the pack mentality of dogs and the way different breeds react to certain situations. Their advice has greatly improved our living situation. Walks are more enjoyable without the constant distractions and aggression. Strangers compliment us on our beautiful dogs instead of quickly passing giant barking dogs. Our dogs aren't perfect, but we only just begun our training. We are excited to keep learning from A Canine Experience. More...

We took our crazy hound to A Canine Experience for their board and train program and they worked wonders with him. He listens, knows commands, and has bonded with us. We also exclusively board him there, and they take great care of him while we're away. Everyone we've come in contact with has been knowlegaeable, and pleasant to work with. Our 4 year old lab mix has significant separation anxiety but both of the times we have boarded him with A Canine Experience we have picked up a relaxed, smiling pup. He loves the play time, their prices are very reasonable, and seeing how well cared for Beo is when we pick him up is the icing on the cake. Everyone in the office even remembered him on our second visit! We will be using ACE to board our pup exclusively. Thank you to all the staff for taking such great care of our fella! More...

Fantastic dog trainers and kennel! We boarded our 2 Belgian Malinois dogs and use a positive focussed training method with both of them, utilizing e-collars as markers. The trainers had expert knowledge on the training method and actually gave us a lot of advice to improve our method. The pups came back happy and in very good health after 2 weeks of board and train. After having gone through several training classes and dog sports in the Seattle area, we're convinced A Canine Experience is the best well rounded training location. The staff is polite and very knowledgeable. They clearly stay up to date on the latest training methods and are very experienced. On top of that, they have experience with working breeds and clearly gave our pups proper mental and physical stimulation (which is very difficult to do with such a high energy breed). Though the grounds may look a bit shoddy on first approach, after seeing the grounds and training the dogs there, we realized that the emphasis is on the function rather than the form. All of the areas that the dogs were kept in were in excellent condition, and they had some of the best accommodations that we've seen for working breeds (agility course, GRC spring pole, and a very large field for walks). I highly recommend them for training and boarding. More...

I can't say enough good things about Autumn and "A Canine Experience ". Family owned, loves your puppies like they are part of the family. We sent our almost 5 month old boxer Ronda to trained. WOW! What a difference it has been since she's been home. She follows commands and hasn't had any accidents in the house. I can't wait to continue to train with Autumn and watch Ronda grow into a beautiful service dog! I highly recommend them! More...

Love this place. Our daughter has a Pit bull who just loves to run and play. When I have to babysit, I put him in daycare! Many places will not accept a pit - a canine experience will (after a meet and greet). They are very good with him and the other dogs. Highly recommend. More...

I brought my 100 pound STUBBORN Lab/Sheppard mix in for the 2 week board and train program. Jasper has been through 2 other training types before so for a cookie I could get him to sit, or down, but not much else. I was not able to walk my dog, he just dragged me!! Since being home, the difference is night and day! He sits, lays down, waits at the door, etc not for a cookie, but because I asked him too. Instead of fighting over who HAS to take Jasper for a walk, we are fighting over who GETS to take Jasper for a walk! I truly could not say enough how much we appreciate all of the amazing staff at A Canine Experience for helping us understand how to work with Jasper! Absolutely LOVE Canine Experience! I started taking my pup here when I needed a new daycare due to her learning bad behaviors because of no good behavior reinforcement at her previous daycare. Zoey had some challenging days with learning that she is indeed NOT the boss of everyone and I was concerned she wasn't going to get better without some one on one training but after them working with her, it only took a short time until those unwanted behaviors went away. Not to mention she comes home exhausted from playing all day with big smile on her face. Thank you guys for being so great and helping Zoey become an even better pup! More...

I love this place! I'm also biased because I used to work here, so I know firsthand the love and care the staff shows for the dogs they're in care of. They evaluate dogs before taking them out with the daycare just to make totally sure that the dogs are safe with other dogs. Unlike other Kennel's they won't charge you extra to administer meds- including insulin. They'll happily feed your dogs whatever food you bring for them, including raw, which is rare of most kennels.

I actually got my dog through a series of events, through work. When I met her she was brought in for dog aggression and had to be kept in the household separately from their other dogs and the owners kept her muzzled when she had to be around the other dogs. When it was recommended that the best thing they do was rehome her, the owners wanted to give her to me and we still keep in touch often, six years later. Gypsy goes to work with me everyday and thanks to the foundation A Canine Experience gave her, she's not dog reactive at all and has tons of doggy friends.

I took my pup to A Canine Experience when he was about 3 months old. He was very dominate, showing signs of aggression towards my kids and older dog, and very willful. He also had a happy, sweet disposition but was honestly too much for me and I was desperate! He spent two weeks with A Canine Experience and I am grateful for their help. I visited my fur baby once while he was there, and when I picked him up, they gave me the training needed to maintain his positive behavior changes. Before he went to A Canine Experience, I was starting to think about re-homing him, but when I picked him up, I knew we were through the worst of it. Just to be clear, I had an older dog (same breed) that I had trained through basic obedience, to Canine Good Citizenship, and through Therapy Dog Certification...so, I wasn’t totally green in the dog-training department. However, I needed their expertise and assistance to help our new little guy acclimate to our home and establish some boundaries. He is now 4 years old and just a sweet, happy, well-trained dog! I adopted my Jake from Amber 6 years ago and we went through their mutual training course. He was a year old 7 lb verb skidding Chihuahua. Their care in finding matching him with the right owner, experience and training abilities are amazing. 6 years later we couldn't be happier & I can't imagine my life without my little man. He's my world. I'm so proud when I get compliments on how well he's trained. I give all the credit to A Canine Experience. After moving to Mill Creek from Texas, I really struggled to find a doggie daycare that I trusted with my babies. Since I started taking her to ACE around 6 months ago, many of her challenging behaviors have stopped at home and she's much more outgoing. I took my pup here after considering the fact that he needed to stop pulling when he became distracted. I figured it would take a 2 week program to fix it, but the owner, Nancy, took the time to learn about my dog and then quickly showed me the proper way to handle his pulling. I was amazed. I appreciated the useful feedback and MOST of all, how they were honest and did not attempt to rip me off by selling me a 2 week program that I originally intended in enrolling. They gave me a simple fix and guidelines. I say this because a trainer at "Digg It Dog Training" stated that my dog would most likely need a "30 day" program (costing at least $2700) after watching my dog for a minute. I was baffled. However, his recommendation did make me realize that I needed to find a solution for my dog's pulling and I am glad my first stop at A Canine Experience was extremely positive. I was recommended advanced learning and classes to further strengthen his behavior and discipline. I recommend A Canine Experience. Very fun trainers and great help. More...

We have been using this businesses' 'doggie day care' and in house doggie sitter for over a year and could not be happier with the services. Our dog is VERY high energy,  requires daily medication and suffers with separation anxiety. Autumn has been amazing with our doggie. When we need overnight care she comes to our home and stays with our dog (sometimes we only need her overnight...sometimes for a week). My pup and I absolutely love this place.  I found them on google, and I had a personally training session with Trina (owner's daughter).  After the session, I signed up with a basic puppy class (6 weeks).  The class was small, but Trina taught more than just they would teach at those basic obedience classes at the big pet stores.  Trina introduced agility, scent work, and real life basic commands.  Well worth my $100.I dropped off my puppy at Doggy day care and she came home happy and exhausted.  She's a chihuahua, and most of the dogs at the day care are big dogs, but the trainers did a wonderful job with having her get adjusted with the pack.  When I come and pick up my dog, Im very happy to see them discipline the day care dogs.  Your dog will get socialization and training during day care.My favorite thing about this place is that they are very flexible with pretty much everything.  They have a wonderful drop off and pick up service for those who need it.  It was a wonderful Idea, although it did not work out with my schedule.  They were nice enough make an exception and let me drop off my puppy at 5:30am (since i start work at 6am). The prices are reasonable, and they are very flexible with payment options and plans.  Also, I dropped off my aunt's boxer/lab dog, which they recommended he do the train and board (2 weeks) for his anxiety and lack of confidence (which made him a disobedient dog).  I am 100% positive he will come home a different dog.I am very satisfied with the overall cleanliness of the facility.  This place does not wreak of dog nor does it look messy.  Everyone has a professional attitude and is very friendly and very easy to communicate with.  I am very satisfied with the cost of everything.  They may be cheaper than most daycares and boarding kennels in the area, but they definitely care about you and your dogs well-being, not money. I recommend this place to anyone who needs a day care, boarding, or training! More...

At another boarding place our dog was bit several times and developed aggression issues when boarded "kennel free".  We shopped around for kennel boarding that would still allow our dog to have play time, without being around other dogs.  A Canine Experience is such a perfect fit for our dog.  He comes home happy and well fed, unlike at our previous boarding place.   They truly care about the dogs and their well being.  We've been using them for three years now for all of our boarding needs and have never had a billing problem (as stated by another reviewer).  In fact we like them so much that we continue to take our dog there even though it is a 25 mile one way trip for us to do drop off / pick up. I decided to take my dog here  after getting a discount on amazon local. The coupon saved me enough that I decided to add on the doggie daycare for the week days he was there which made me feel better leaving him. My dog was only six months when he was there so he was a bit jumpy and hyper. When I picked him up at the end of our vacation it was like picking up a new dog! He didn't jump on us anymore, he had no more accidents in the house and just overall seemed to be calmer. We were informed that pictures had been taken and posted on Facebook and that we should check them out. After looking at the pictures I noticed that my dog was the youngest one there.(there was a lot of dogs in doggie daycare!) My guess is that these other dogs schooled my dog on how to behave in a group setting and the workers are so good that they helped train my dog without even trying!Bottom line... I feel that I got a lot more then I paid for and I will definetly take my dog back in the future!!Cheryl More...

I have known Trina for several years through business groups. I don't have a dog but I have always been impressed by her knowledge and experience whenever I see her at an event or meeting. The one meeting I recall the most is when she showed us how she trained one of her dogs to "find" things. This may not seem impressive when you are reading it but it sure was watching the dog do his thing. Trina has great qualities for this type of business, one she LOVES what she does which can see when she starts talking "dogs". Two she gives of her knowledge freely and without reserve. I am glad to see she has opened a cat boarding section. I am always on the lookout for places that board cats as good ones are really hard to find. This has been the best kennel I have boarded at yet. Everytime I've called, the employees might or might not remember my name, but as soon as I say my dog's name, they know who I am. He starts wagging his tail as soon as we pull in to the parking lot, let alone the office! He gets to excited to see the people working, and he never looks back at me when I leave, he's so preoccupied with them. Everytime I've picked him up, he acts very excited to see me, I have left him for up to two weeks before and when I got him back, he smelled good, he looked good, his weight wasn't any different then when I left - and while he was very much excited to see me, he would run back and forth between me and the girl who brought him out to me. Definately a place I would recommend, they truely treat the dogs as their own. Even though plenty of kennels boast that, this is the first that I've seen my dog genuinly attached to the employees. Keep up the good work! More...

Wow. I agree with all the excellent recommendations. My dog gets excited going there, too. I had training done and not only was my dog well treated, the trainer was wonderful with my children (two-legged variety). I can't imagine a better place to leave my dog-and now my cat, too. I really like the cat rooms! When I was doing my lesson, a dog was going home that had been there a whole month-she was very excited to see her people but she kept going back to the staff to say good-bye. Almost as if she was saying ""I really like you guys. This is my family but I will miss you."" The folks couldn't stop raving about the care. The staff even emailed pictures of the dog playing in the park to the owners while they were on vacation-Talk about Customer Service!! It made me feel good to hear their comments. Apparently their dog has been going there for years. I liked what I expereinced but the confirmation of another's opinion is great! I don't know about what those negative reviews are talking about-maybe they got the wrong place My dog was clean and very, very happy when I picked him up. I have never had any problems at all- Some people, huh? I just know that my dog and my entire family have been very satisfied. Come to think of it, my neighbors are happy too because my dog is behaving way better. In fact they asked what happened to our 'old dog' and where did we get the 'new' one. Cute, huh? And the training was very clear with an emphasis on praise/rewards. What did they say? Something like everyone likes a paycheck. It really made sense. First off I want to say this place is so nice, my dog starts barking as soon as we pull into the parking lot! She greets the staff with her back end just wagging side to side! Yes, back end, not tail, she's an aussie shepherd. They have a really cool dog park, it's completly fenced in so I don't have to worry about my dog getting out and getting into a place that I can't catch her. When I go just for the dog park, it's just me out there, I don't have to worry about sharing the park with any other dogs or people, so no worries about aggressive dogs. When I leave her for boarding I don't feel guilty leaving her, I drop her off happy as a clam, and I pick her up happy but tired, and she usually spends the next day sleeping. Their trainers are great, they have an amazing amount of patience with the dogs and you can tell the dogs are well taken care of. More...

Now when I bring her as soon as we pull on to the road she is wagging her tail and barking with excitment and happy to see everyone there and they all love her and welcome her very well. I greatly recommend this place for all your dog needs they are amazing and very welcoming and they seem to treat my dog as if it was one of there own and sure they will to yours to!!!!! More...

I just recently left my dog for two weeks of training. It was the best thing I could have done for my dog. My dog learned so much, I couldn't believe the transformation. The trainers were very professional and did a wonderful job teaching me and my family. I am so happy with my dog. She is now a great family dog. I look forward to working with A Canine Experience in the future. More...

My dogs love it there! When we turn onto their road, my dogs can hardly contain themselves! I used to feel really guilty leaving my dogs and I would worry when I was gone. Now when they are so happy to see the people at A Canine Experience I feel good leaving them. The people know my dogs and know what they like (ok, my dogs are a little spoiled). The last time I was on vacation, my out of control dog learned some manners that he so desperately needed. My life is so busy, I just didn't have time to work with him at home consistently. When I picked him up, I had a private lesson. When Jake walked in, he was not even pulling on the leash and he sat politely while I petted him! I felt awkward giving him the new commands and making him behave but my instructor was very patient and taught me what I needed to do. Jake is a new man! And I feel more comfortable taking him out for walks now and when my friends come over, they don' t complain about him anymore. I am working with my other dog, too. She is doing better, too. Maybe its because I know what to do now. More...

My dogs had a wonderful time in the park and learned things that made it easier to walk them and just have them around the house. The people really cared about my dogs and I felt like they really liked them. More...
