Was a bit worried on where I could gain further experience and training as I had to take an extended re-test, Steve was able to cater for this and what a enjoyable experience it turned out to be, passed the test first time with one minor ; ) not only did I pass, but I came away from the experience with further confidence to continue to drive safely and responsibly. I can't recommend Steve enough. Learning to drive has been an amazing adventure. The real journey starts now but a massive thank you has to go to Steve.
He knows how to get the best out of you, keep you motivated and push you, just that little bit, out of your comfort zone to help you progress and learn that little bit quicker.
Every lesson was calm and relaxed. Steve is also a very patient teacher which is so key. You never feel rushed or as if failure or mistakes are getting in the way of success.
Learning with Steve has been a real pleasure.
I passed my test first and I am know I am not the only one to have done so with Steve.

I had two other instructors before I finally met up with Steve .it was my last chance before I give up driving.However,he proved to be exactly what I needed ,patient,encouraging and makes you feel at ease as a new driver . To say I recommend 2Bshaw would be an understatement,after helping me pass first time with just 5 minors. Steve is an excellent driving instructor. He has been very patient and has made sure that I am calm & composed as well while driving.
He has helped me overcome my weaknesses and has pushed me to become a much better and a safer driver.

Amazing instructor I had some refresher lessons and got back into driving in no time at all plus learnt more in the space of a few lessons with Steve then I did in 6 months with a different instructor if you want to learn quick and pass your test plus be more safer on the roads Steve is your man

I cant recommend Steve highly enough. He is really patient and never rushed me into learning new things. He helped me to understand driving and also gave me an information pack on driving which I found really useful. He uses visual resources when trying to explain how to do the manoeuvres which made it easier to understand and if I couldn’t then he would take the time until I understood it. He knows how to get the best out of you and always encouraged you to do well. I am so thankful I chose 2bshaw as Steve helped me pass first time with only 2 minors which I am very grateful of. I intended to write this review a while ago, but just found the time. Great instructor, very patient and attentive. Had several teachers before, they always were on high stress and very disorganised. Some of them even didn't turn up for scheduled lessons when paid in advance. Steve charges a slight bit more than the others, but had l started with him l would have saved a lot of money in lessons and time. Forget looking for any other instructor, Steve is the best l've been taught by. I'm now driving a Supercharged AMG and another V8 Merc that l have, so all is good! More...

Steve gave me so much support with my theory test and my driving test and was always a text away if I had any questions. Steve gave me 110% and I couldn't have asked for any more! Always willing to go over something as many times as you need to and if I didn't understand something he always had diagrams and his iPad to show me. Very patient. If there's anything Steve doesn't know about driving - then it simply isn't worth knowing! He boasts a wealth of knowledge and experience in driving which was evident from the go. (He also knows the Bournemouth and Poole area like the back of his hand, which was especially good in my case having just recently moved down.)

Steve's approach is invariably student-focused. He tailored our lessons to a pace which suited me to ensure I felt comfortable, whilst at the same time never ceased to encourage me in making progress.

He was always happy to go through any questions I had in detail, breaking things down until I had a clear understanding, whether related to the lesson at hand or more theoretical in nature.

There was never a moment, even on a good drive, that Steve wasn't ready to leap into action. I always felt confident that, should an issue occur, he was prepared and knew exactly when and how to help if needed. As a somewhat hesitant adult learner, it was very reassuring.

Steve encourages self-evaluation throughout his lessons, going above and beyond (but of course not losing sight of) passing the test. He's helped me nurture a self-awareness when driving which is now for me an integral and life-long part of driving itself.

In short, as an instructor I found Steve friendly, knowledgeable and determined in imparting the highest of driving standards. Having passed my practical test (at the height of Bournemouth rush hour no less) I'm greatly indebted to Steve, and would recommend him to anyone in the Bournemouth and Poole area. More...
