The granary health and fitness is a private one on one studio and sports therapy clinic offering a bespoke service located in a beautiful converted barn in a rural setting. I am well qualified in all aspects of fitness and rehabilitation.

Just started attending group personal training sessions after having a baby nearly 8 months ago and starting to feel positive that I'll regain my fitness and be able to get back into my size 10 jeans!

I have been going to James for 3 years and he has made a huge difference to my overall fitness. He knows just how far to push me and only once have I rebelled and said No way!

He listens to what I would like and then adapts my workout accordingly..... fitness for skiing, summer holiday moments...... He once said to me that I am like your pension - you are investing now in your health for when you are older. I fully believe him on that.

He is motivating and I really recommend him.

The key to helping my clients achieve their fitness goals would be to encourage them to understand what a realistic goal would be I find short-term goals work better with ultimately working towards setting a long-term goals as my clients progress.

There is no real secret it's just having a good understanding of the body and therefore prescribing a good solid exercise programme to achieve the body of your dreams.
I train my clients predominantly with resistance training as this is the most effective way to train your body, resistance training can be used regardless of ailments and most conditions, you just need well structured resistance program to complement and not hinder your condition.

The main thing I love about my job is helping people achieve their goals I am also a qualified musculoskeletal / soft tissue therapist as well so this also brings me great satisfaction to be able to help people with their ailments.
Watching people returning back to good health and seeing physical changes is greatly satisfying .

I have always been a very sporty and active person that has always had a passion for health and fitness so I suppose I've got inspired by my own motivation, it seemed like the natural thing to do was to open up my own personal training studio and clinic.
I guess I've just found a way how to make a living out of something that I have a true passion for.

With many personal trainers and coaches out there to choose from this has to be a hard decision for anyone seeking a trainer however I have a massive amount of motivation and more importantly I have life experience, I am a 43-year-old trainer so I have seen a lot and made many mistakes over the years, this is something that can only be gained with time! I believe I can give my clients the best possible chance to achieve their goals! I listen to my clients and prescribed what I believe would be the best program for that individual, I am not one of those trainers that are trying to boost my own ego as this seems to be becoming more popular with younger trainers these days. I run a successful studio and have worked with all age groups over the years, I also set out to make personal training affordable and not just a luxury, so even though my prices are cheaper than most other trainers you are most definitely not getting a cheaper service, I am highly qualified in my field of expertise, I just charge what I feel personal training it's worth.
