I took my Charlie here when he was a baby. I've boarded him when we lived in Tustin and I calledTo check on him and they were so kind. We moved away and I tried another vet but I didn't feel as comfortable leaving my Charlie anywhere but here. Charlie will be 17 next May and he has been losing weight. I took him back here after a 10yr stint. He stayed for a week with some kidney problems. They let me call and visit and let me get copies of his lab work via email. We've had our dogs here for checkups and dental cleanings several times. The doctors and staff have always been very nice and helpful. It was time to put one of our dogs down. She had been deteriorating for a while. She had been with us for about 13 years - longer than our kids. We all struggled a lot with the decision. We were hoping against hope that she would pass naturally in her sleep. Unfortunately, this was not to be.When we brought her in, we met with the doctor. He did a physical exam to make sure we were making the right decision. He explained that she most likely had some advanced tumors in addition to severe arthritis. He said he could tell she was in a lot of pain. He said he supported our decision.He thoroughly explained the process and helped us deal with a very difficult decision. Amazing! I'd give them 10 stars! My dachshund was having dental issues and it was causing so much discomfort. I went to a couple Vets and they were estimating me around 1500$-2500$ for the dental work with extractions. Couldn't afford it. I was referred to this place by a friend and it was better than I could've imagined. They didn't charge me for the consultation and was able to schedule me two days later for the dental work. The nurses there are extremely nice and the Vet was so understanding and made myself and my dog feel very comfortable. And their estimate was 1/3 of the other Pet hospitals. Here's where they take the cake for best Vet office around. A day after the dental work I get a call from them they said they forgot to add the Dental work discount to my bill and refunded me over a hundred dollars! I never would've batted an eye at the price they originally charged and then they go and refund me with a discount anyways! Amazing!! Thank you so much! More...

Hands down greatest vet I have found. Our first visit I brought in my maltipoo Furby due to a traumatic event my dog Incurred and met with Dr K. Upon meeting Dr K he had no idea what Furby just went through and sat down and on the floor with my dog allowing him time to feel comfortable and warm up. He knew I was limited with funds at the time and only charged me for what was needed he did not give me the run around and try to upcharge me on anything. My second visit was a last minute apt so I had to schedule with another Dr there and it was the same thing. I found them to love what they do, ethical, and put my dogs best interest first. Tustana Pet Hospital doctors and staff have been amazing. My poor little Thor was sick due to vitamin D toxicity from his Hill's prescription dog food. The little guy has been in and out of the hospital since February 4 and appears just now (March 27) to be getting better. The doctors and their staff work unbelievable hours and are always so patient and nice to all their pet owners and pets. The knowledge, love and care that Tustana exhibits is truly commendable. Thank you Dr. Hayter and Dr. Kvarnstrom. We went to Tustana for a 3rd opinion and quote for our Boxers Gingival Hyperplasia (my gut told me to see another vet). We saw Dr. Hayter. Immediately we knew we were in the right place. Based on our dogs symptoms he suggested doing a full blood panel, which we would need anyway if we did the dental surgery. Turned out he had something else going on. Our Boxer was declining rather quickly. Dr. Hayter was wonderful. Unfortunately we had to put our Oggie to rest today (we chose to do it at home) because he began having labored breathing. Every single person at Tustana was super nice and I just loved when they would walk by the room and say “hey Oggie” because they remembered him from his previous visit (we had only been there once before). Because of your kindness, honesty, and true compassion for what we were going through we will make Tustana and Dr. Hayter our permanent vet for our other animals. We love Dr K. I took our 13 yr old Italian greyhound to him for dental consult. He needed a full dental and masses removed. He comes highly recommended by the Southern California Italian Greyhound rescue group. He did an amazing job with Giovanni. We were worried due to his age and heart murmur but Dr K assured us it would be in the best interest of Gio's overall health to have his dental done. He removed about 20 teeth and 4 masses. Gio looks and feels amazing. He is one happy and healthy pup. I'm so happy with the care he gave to Giovanni that we now drive all the way from Long Beach to have him care for both our dogs now. We are new to having a dog. I am fortunate to have found Dr. K at Tustana Animal Hospital to care for our pet. Two separate friends happen to also feel highly about the care here so when I found out that they were happy there then I cancelled the other Vet I was about to start a relationship with for our dog. I have been bringing my babies to Tustana since I had my first pet, Mehitabel - Cat. I was only 10 years old. 40 years! Last year when my IG Paco was in his last year and having liver issues and seizures, they took excellent care of him to make him comfy. Luckily they did not have to put him down and he died in my arms but they still took the time to send me a beautiful sympathy card. Now they are treating my brand new IG ( Italian Greyhound), Guido, and Dr. K says he is perfect and enjoying his puppydom and also being diligent in exact care for this breed. We were litterally in the middle of a move when we found a lump on our sweet Watson!
We called, and they had us come in the next morning to check it out!
Scheduled surgery for a week later!
Follow up was fantastic! Even had his teeth cleaned by the lady they subcontract (ask about first time dental cleaning discounts!)

The workers here are all so kind!! I dropped my dog off at 7 am for a dental cleaning, vaccine booster and nail trimming. My dog has pretty severe anxiety so I was nervous about leaving him for a couple hours, but when I picked him up, the workers assured me that they made sure to build trust with my dog before performing any of the services . When I took my dog in for some shots the entire staff was really amazing! Very helpful with my paper work, getting my fees paid through the city, and recommendations for food. When the VET came in he was amazing, my dog is very nervous around other men besides me because when she was young she didn't have a great start to her life BUT she is loved now! My cat was bitten by something. At first we thought a coyote but our dear dr informed us that if that truly was the case he would have been finished. I called the hospital and found the warmest kindest person on the other end. Her name was Desiree. She was so compassionate and helpful. I don't know what I would have done if she hadn't answered and been so nice. She walked me though everything and was very reassuring. Our cat Georgio has been a part of our family for 6 years since he was a baby and my children were 3 and 4. They were able to clean his wounds and sent him home the same day.
