Unlike the Kerrytown and the original location this is not a deli. The "Ruben" here is NOT a Ruben. It used ham instead. To me that's a sin! Now this location is much larger then then the other location so the wait can be much shorter. But at the Roadhouse they do BBQ ribs, chicken, burgers and multiple types of Mac & cheese. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. For some reason a order of mash potatoes came out with Vinegar on them. She brought another order and did not charge us for the spuds. I did not like that when other staff stopped at our table they did not clear away obviously finished plates. No other complaints on the food. A plus is the Roadhouse serves beers and cocktails. Zingermans may be a bit pricey for some dishes, but it is worth every penny. The food is consistent, service is great, and the unique atmosphere/aesthetics drive it home. My mother and I enjoyed a delicious lunch at Zingerman's Roadhouse last week. Nancy was our server and she was awesome! .. .very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed chips and salsa which are made to order and delicious. Then we shared a beet and goat cheese salad which was fresh and the cheese was so soft and creamy. Then we shared the BBQ plate which was outstanding - the quality of food is excellent. I am over and over again surprised at how awesome Zingerman’s is. I had only ever been to the deli, but decided to try to roadhouse. I got a black bean burger and sweet potato fries. Not pictured was the most important — some sort of chipotle mayo sauce. Yum! The wait staff is insanely nice. My waiter brought me tastes of 3 things to try before I made my decision and brought me a free cookie for dessert. So friendly, which makes me want to return 100 more times!
