Matthew and his crew are excellent. We recently relocated to Seattle and have two dogs with strong, and loud, personalities. Matthew came to meet us, talk about his organization, and setup a further meet and greet with Jennifer all at no cost. Every visit gets scheduled through a super pro website and mobile app that lets you chat with the walker, see photos, and know if they pooped or peed. His team has been incredibly accommodating for last minute requests and weekend visits. We were away from town and Matthew extended a visit twice to help tire out our dogs who were overly anxious with us leaving for a night. We live in Wedgwood in NE Seattle and our 3 year old pitbull needed a midday walk get out some energy and potty break. The people at Zen were very professional and personable when it came down to meet and greet and warming up to our pup. Shout out to Aiden for being our awesome main walker! We have been using Zen Dog Walking for our two rambunctious doodles since we moved to Seattle in June. They have been so helpful in the transition both for us and our dogs. We have sound activated cameras in our house (to make sure our dogs don't bark too much while we're away)  and they've captured some pretty sweet moments with our dogs & walkers. Even though our dogs can be very excited and barking when they first arrive, Zen Dog walkers are ALWAYS calm and kind to them. Our dogs love Heather & Evin (our most-frequent walkers) and everyone else they've met through Zen. I love the text updates we get after every walk. We haven't used their overnight service yet but I definitely would if we had a need -- would be way better to know they are relaxing at home with a buddy rather than stressing out at the kennel. I'm admittedly a totally crazy, overprotective dog parent to my two dogs. They mean the world to me and I hardly trust anyone with them. On top of that my Pit Bull can be kind of a handful, she's very sensitive and easily scared, and leash reactive towards dogs and squirrels. <br><br>Living in an apartment with two dogs and a busy schedule can be really stressful, and so for my dogs' sake I decided to look for a dog walker to take them out for an hour while I'm at work. It took a long time and a lot of research to find Zen Dog Walking, but it was completely worth it. My dogs instantly loved TJ as soon as they met him, and curled up with him on the couch the first time he came over while he explained how everything works. He had no problems handling them and they seemed so much happier having walks while I was at work. Unfortunately I had to move out of their service area recently and I'm so upset that I can't continue to use them. I can't recommend them enough! Your dog will be much happier and so will you. I spoke with someone at Zen about setting up regular walks for my dog due to a heavy upcoming travel schedule. We arranged a time for them to come meet my dog for an assessment and they never showed up. No contact in advance that they'd be unable to keep our appointment, no follow up explanation after the fact. Definitely not an organization I would trust with the wellbeing of my dog. More...

I am thrilled that I found Zen Dog Walking for my two Dobermans! Their service is run competently,  professionally and respectfully allowing peace of mind when out of town. I had always boarded my guys with their Doberman breeder prior to Zen but since we moved  I had to reluctantly find someone else. It took me well over a year... I  know I can be demanding and though my dogs are obedient they are very sensitive, (they're Dobermans remember.) Super Flexible especially when our often erratic short-notice getaways out of town. Matt is great with checking in with us too if something has changed in our pets needs or if he notices something different about them. He really knows their individual nuances. Going out of town can be a little stressful if you have one pet, and we currently have 10! My Lily is a former street dog who lived for four years in an overcrowded shelter in Taiwan.  Lily is a gentle soul, but very shy and skittish, and will go on the defensive or bolt if threatened.  Matthew is able to cajole Lily into leashing up and get her to go outside.  I am so delighted that Lily is able to take mid-day walks with such a professional and caring service.  I also love that the scheduling and billing is online.  So easy and convenient.  Zen Dog Walking is the best! I first met Matthew through PLAY doggie daycare several months ago. My new rescue dog, Hildy, had run away and I thought maybe she'd been found and dropped off with neighborhood dog people. She hadn't, but Matthew patiently and kindly listened to me and took down our information even though PLAY was closed and he was ready to go home. After Hildy was found, a huge reason I chose to take her to PLAY was Matthew.<br><br>Eventually my partner and I adopted another dog, Boots. It turned out that Boots was reactive and couldn't hang out at PLAY, but she had tons of energy so we still needed a way to keep her active and happy while we were at work. PLAY recommended Matthew, who had begun a dog walking service (Zen Dog) and who was especially good with reactive dogs. I was so relieved and happy that my dogs could keep seeing someone whom they already love and trust. <br><br>Both Boots and Hildy go wild every time they see Matthew. He seems to genuinely love and understand all of his doggie clients and is invested in their well-being, tailoring visits to their needs and wants. (He also takes cute pictures and has trained Boots to do a few tricks!) Matthew is a friendly, responsive, and trustworthy walker and just an all-around great person. We used to worry when we went on a trip and left the dogs at home. But now that Matthew stays with them, we can relax and have fun without the anxiety! Our dog is crazy. Like, bouncing off the walls, can barely sit still crazy. She's also super leash reactive and freaks out at the sight of another dog. Before Matthew  started working with her, we could hardly walk her around the block. We wanted someone to visit her while we're at work for some backyard playtime, but we never thought we'd find a walker who could handle her. <br><br>Three years later, Matthew still visits three or four times a week and walks her most every time. He's really amazing with her - calm, gentle and loving. We've also appreciate how experienced and knowledgeable he is about dogs' health and behavior.
