Zapata has amazing food. We have eaten there a few times now. Each time the food is fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly as well. Last time, the wait staff recommended the enchiladas and I ordered them with the green chile and I was not disappointed. We also had the coconut flan and churros which were amazing. The churros were even smoked! If you aren’t familiar with Zapata, the parking might seem tricky but there are two parking lots across the street. I have to start with: They speak Spanish! That says a lot from a Mexican restaurant (and all other Latin American or Spanish restaurants). Besides that, the food was very tasty. My ceviche was fresh, juice and well served. My friends food was delicious too. I also asked for a white sangria and it was really a delicious drink. This is a shockingly good restaurant! While the menu is a bit on the pricier side of things (some items were ~$20), neither their food nor their drinks fail to impress. The horchata I ordered was very refreshing, the steak tacos tasted great and were beautifully presented, and the table we had against the window provided a great view of the sunset.If there's anything I recommend doing when you visit, it's to check the menu online before coming. All of the items are in Spanish, so you have to either know the dishes beforehand or read through each and every item's English description before deciding. My family was staying a few days at Great Wolf lodge and wanted to venture out for dinner. Came across a review on yelp by a gentleman that said this place had the best enchiladas he had ever eaten. ....I have to say, these were the best enchiladas I have even eaten and I spent 15 years living in Tucson Arizona! Even my granddaughters chicken nuggets and fries were homemade and terrific. My husband got fajitas that had tons of red and green peppers. The presentation of the meals are right out of a cooking show and prices are very reasonable. Close to Great Wolf so I recommend all to venture out for a great meal! More...
