I was in an accident in October and I see all these positive reviews, but I'm having a different experience. I've never been in an accident so I don't know what to expect or what I should be doing. I stopped calling because my calls weren't returned. They have called me every now and then,. but they don't follow up on that call. With this coronavirus and the accident I'm about to go down the tubes. I'm trying to give them a chance but I'm thinking I hired the wrong Law Firm. I'm too depressed I have no fight in me right now. I hired Zane's law over 3 years ago for an accident and the service I got was an absolute NIGHTMARE!! I had so many different lawyers that would quit or get fired and then they would forget about my case I would call for weeks and get no answer. Then I had to do many things on my own that my lawyers should have handled. I read up on all the different forms that had to be completed and saw that if the case went over a certain time frame an extension had to be filled and that time was coming up so I started calling leaving messages and no one replied finally the day before I was going to loose my case I called and demanded to speak to ANYONE and finally a lawyer said oh yeah we have to get this done before tomorrow or you will loose the whole case!!! Then I got a call telling me I had to go answer questions from the other person's insurance company and my lawyer gave me an address. I show up to the address 45 minutes early and it was at an abandoned building. I sat there and called my lawyer and the firm over and over and no one responded. I finally left when a guy who was living in the alley started screaming and cursing for me to leave. I was crying and had to call the insurance company I was suing to find out what was going on. My lawyer was already there and when I got there I said why didn't you tell me the address had changed and he said oh yeah I forgot to. Then when we go in to the questioning he doesn't even know what is going on so we have to go out into the lobby where he looks at the case and asks me questions. He also brings 2 pictures out of the almost 100 I added to my case file online and the pictures are screenshots that are so blurry that none of us in the room can even see. Then the questions start from the insurance company and I answer truthfully and my lawyer calls a recess. He takes me into the lobby and tells me to not say what had happened because it could hurt the case. I told him I wasn't going to lie under oath and I just started crying because it was all just so overwhelming. Throughout this process I was left in the dark I never had any idea what was going on. I would go months waiting for a call back and even had one lawyer I was working with tell me to not call him anymore because he quit and hung up on me. I've looked at the reviews and see I'm not the only one who was being treated this way. When I first hired Zane's I was told that I would be paying 33% and ended up paying 40%. I ended up getting a settlement but I would NEVER go back to Zane's law even if my settlement would have been a billion dollars because I was treated horribly and felt like I was just shuffled around during a time that I really relied on Zane's law to be there and help me. I spoke with the manager and let her know that something has to change because this company has been so successful but if people continue to be treated this way eventually no one will want to hire them. I do have a positive note to end on during all this time a lady named Prisilla, who works there as a case manager, did everything she could to try to help me and appologized so many times because she knew how I was being treated was not right! Even when she was not my case manager and some guy named Jimmy was, she would be the only one who would answer my calls and try to find out what was going on. If I could manage where my 40% of my case settlement went to it would be ALL to her because she was the one who did anything to help me!
