We LOVED our brunch at Tia's this morning. The menu features traditional El Salvadoran recipes, fused with American brunch dishes. The pasties are crispy and flakey, with various dulce fillings. Yummmm. The omelets are delicious and served with wonderful pupusa bites and flavorful tomatada salsa. Garnishes include fresh avocado, house pickled jalapeño and fresh bread. SOOOO GOOOOOOOOD!!! Always friendly service with a smile.... they're the only ones with Salvadorean tortillas which goes perfectly with the soups! The thickness and the nutty, robust taste of the tortilla brings out the flavor to the soup and to the tortilla, too.... I got to taste their Salvadoran tamale.... I've been craving for it and there wasn't a good place around St George that I've found yet, so I've trusted them to satisfy my craving.... and it hit it on the spot... I would take a piece of it and dip it into the soup and mmmmmm..... yep.... that's it... She had Agua Fresca of Mango, Apples and Pineapple today.... sounds delicious, right? I'm gonna have to get that next time.... More...

The wait for some reason was exceptionally long for a Sunday afternoon. The food was okay. Maybe we should have ordered something different. I got the south of the border salad which was yummy but the bread that came with it was very dry and not good. My boyfriend got the chicken tacos which had very little flavor. The salmon taco was good he said. Overall just unimpressed and not cheap either. Regrettably not worth the money or time. More...

First off, I have to say their Salvadoran food is amazing. The reason I'm giving 3 stars is for the service. Went in with family of six to dine in the evening and it took 45min to get our food which is ok. I've made pupusas at home and know it's a lot of prep work. They came out with one or two platters at a time so we had to figure out who got what in terms of pupusas and we ended up getting an extra chicken and cheese which was supposed to be cheese, pork and beans. Then someone came out and gave us a platter of 3 shrimp tacos that wasn't my mother-in-law's and she started to eat it not realizing that it wasn't her taco plate (apparently the server sent them to us when it was someone else's). So my husband went to the front to ask about the cheese, pork and bean pupusa and the guy addressed more than once that we got the extra tacos so I guess we shouldn't complain about the pupusa we didn't get? That wasn't our fault, that was the servers fault for giving us the wrong plate. I was surprised and disappointed when I heard that response. I've worked in the food industry before and one should never make the customer feel like it's their fault for a servers mistake. **also, upon paying, the cost was $58 if paying with my card. I pulled out my cash and then the guy said "oh you're paying with cash so it's $56 (and some change). Not sure if they're automatically adding tip but if so, that's not cool. So, if we were to go again, we'd get takeout instead and only pay with cash. More...

The vegan pupusas are absolutely off the chain. Some of the best vegan food I've ever had, an absolute shock in a town with a shitload of confederate flag trucks and Blue Lives Matter Flags in 10% of the yards. I almost didn't look at the reviews for this place because it came up really low on my search results for "vegan" and it was labeled as a bakery, so let's see if this helps the algorithm - vegan vegan vegan vegan vegan dear lord go to this place and get the vegan loroco pupusas if you're vegan. I have never had pupusa before, but the best I can describe it as is close to an arepa with the corn flatbread outside stuffed with whatever you want! The food here is really, really good. Their pupusas are as good as I've had anywhere - perfectly grilled, the dough has a ton of flavor, and the stuffings I tried were delicious. They come with a salsa and a bright slaw to balance out the richness. Their pastelitos are also very good- thin, shatteringly crispy dough stuffed to the brim with chicken and other fillings. The plantains are perfection- hit the sweet spot of texture and sweetness, fried to get some crispy edges. Only thing I wouldn't recommend here is the flan, the flavor is good but the texture was rather spongy. Prices are low for the serving size and quality you get. More...

Phenomenal! This unassuming counter-service place, tucked away in a strip mall, far surpassed our expectations. I went for the Catalina salad with grilled salmon after noticing a picture of it on the wall and I'm sooo glad I did. The salmon was cooked and seasoned perfectly, served on a bed of fresh mixed greens, and came with the most delicious tzatziki-like sauce I've ever had. Andy had the taco platter with chicken, salmon, and shrimp tacos and said those were amazing as well. I couldn't help but snag some bites of the shrimp and chicken and couldn't agree more.
