Professional, student centered, disciplined, inclusive and welcoming! A supportive community with excellent choreography and instruction thanks to dance teacher Sinead Yeates and choreographer Michael Smith. A great place to celebrate Irish culture and learn the art of dance. More...

My daughter has been a student here for over 6 years. From day 1 we were welcomed in the Yeates Academy Family with open arms. Not only has my daughter learned how to Irish dance but she has also made lifelong friends, learned how to handle competition, commitment, and teamwork. I can't say enough about the teachers and studio directors. Sinead is an amazing teacher who works with each dancer to help them achieve their goals and support them every step of the way. Thank you Sinead, Breda, and Molly for such a wonderful dance school! More...

Please note: this review is about the school as a venue and the space in which S&A Irish Entertainment teaches Monday evening all levels ceili dancing. I have no personal experience with the teachers at the Yeates Academy itself. Venue: 4 StarsBathrooms: One single occupancy. This is a nicely sized dance studio with a decent reception and waiting area and high-ceiling dance studio. There are mirrors lining two of the dance studio walls, and the well-loved wood floors display in silent testament the long-term success of this studio. Ceilings are high, and there are cups available to grab a drink of water - as you'll want it after a lesson in Irish dance.Tir Eoghain Monday Night Ceili Class: 5 Stars!Weekly dance class7-9pm, $3, all levelsBring your water bottle and a willingness to have a fun time! This class will leave you sweating and smiling as you learn separate steps and then twine them together into a dance.  It was my first time ever doing anything like ceili dancing, and by the time the evening was over, I had danced, more or less successfully, to four separate dances, and had the basics of several steps down solid.  There were people at all levels of proficiency, from folks who compete in step dancing right down to complete newbies by myself, which made for a nice mix as the experienced participants were always happy to lend a hand.  I have found the answer to my need for dance lessons - good company, quick steps, and no end to good fun. My dance partner declared it was "the most fun you can have standing up," and she was right. More...
