This is attached to a hotel I think. Very roomy dining room. Service was good. Quiet area from 9am - 11am. Ordered the country fried steak. Food was ok. Hash browns were crisp on the outside. I liked them. The country fried steak had a breading or more of a coating that I was not a fan of. Just my personal preference. Gravy was tasty. Eggs cooked perfectly. We ate breakfast at the Yankee Grill in Renton this morning and found it to be clean and inviting. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and checked on our needs regularly but not too much. The menu was large and included a buffet that frankly didn't look all that appetizing. We all ordered ala carte and were very pleased with our selections. Price-wise: maybe a little bit more than our monthly gathering of old friends wants to pay but a good experience today in any event. More...

Old skool diner with menu options that stick to ur bones! I tried the Pot Roast with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. It was really good and hearty. I also heard the noodle soup, club sandwich and the desserts are good also. Restaurant is attached to the hotel but seems to have a regular local clientele in addition to hotel guests! 2 people had the Rueben sandwich, thought it a bit overpriced at $12 but very delicious! The taco salad was huge but was entirely eaten. The cobb salad was large too and I was unable to finish it. The kids cheeseburger seemed good but $8? For a burger with cheese and nothing else but a pickle on the side and a small drink...McDonald's would have been a much better deal. Finally made it back in here after many, many years. Was always afraid. It gave off the "old folks diner" feel. Not that that would be bad, it just wasn't what I wanted. finally gave it another shot and boy, have I been missing out. friend ordered the pulled pork sandwich with fries, plenty enough for 2 people. I ordered the club sand with fries, again, plenty enough for 2. pork was flaky and tender, not jut a pile of pork mush. also ordered the bourbon bread pudding. That my friend, is something that should not be missed. A nice brown sugar bourbon glaze over the top. Took half of it home and it was a midnight snack. We will be back for sure More...

While waiting for my oil change at Good Chevrolet I needed a place for some breakfast. Walked down to Yankee Grill and and was not expecting anything exceptional. Service was quick and frequent and the breakfast quesadilla was delicious with a fresh roasted poblano sauce that made the dish. Could have been a bad night for service, there was clearly a wedding or something going on at the hotel that is conjoined. Our waitress seemed stressed at first, and not super welcoming, but she ended up being a sweet gal.But the 4 stars would have been 3 if it weren't for the prime rib. Damn that was good, and arrived after order rather promptly.
