I began acupuncture with Dr. Yang during week 14 of my second pregnancy. During week 12, I experienced spontaneous bleeding and subsequent spotting, which the doctors could not explain. All of my test results came back perfectly. After some research, I found that acupuncture had helped other women in my situation, and I contacted Dr. Yang. Following my first appointment, I noticed less spotting, and after my second appointment, it stopped completely. I also experienced less pressure in my pelvic area and a great amount of stress relief. Dr. Yang prescribed herbal patches that I wear on various acupuncture points daily as well. I had severe, sharp pains on my left side. Also, my right eye twitched constantly and I suffered from frequent headaches. My neighbor referred me to Dr . Yang. I began taking anti-depressants during a difficult time of transition six years aga. At the time, my pasychologist told me that they were only meant to be a "Crutch" to help me through the transition and that I would eventually be able to get off of them. After being stable for several years, I tried unsuccessfully, four times, to get off the medication over the course of three years. During this time my psychologist began telling me that I needed to come to terms with the fact that I will need to be on the medication for the rest of my life. This continued to brother me. I wanted to know if I was indeed still depressed without the meds, but could never get past the withdrawal side effects (brain zaps, insomnia, flu like symptoms). The year before I met Dr. Yang, I experienced acupuncture for the first time for my allergies. After seeing the amazing results the treatments had on helping my allergies and how little it actually hurt, I looked for a doctor who specialized in acupuncture for the treatment of depression and women's care to se if I could get off of my depression medication as well. She took the time to listen to my situation and her treatments are so effective that I was able to get of my medication completely in less than two months. "I highly recommend Dr. Yang and the use of acupuncture to treat fertility issues. I conceived my first child quickly, without intervention; he went to term and is now a healthy 2 year old. When we tried to get pregnant again it took 10 months, and that pregnancy ended in miscarriage after 8 weeks. After the miscarriage, I diligently charted my waking temperatures and cervical fluid. I found that although my husband and I were timing intercourse correctly, my luteal phase (the time between ovulation and the start of the next period) was too short to allow a fertilized egg to implant. Personally, I did not want to go down the "fertility treatment" path, so I tried acupuncture. Dr. Yang has a wonderful, calming bedside manner. She looks at whole-body wellness while focusing on the individual's issues. To help me, she gave me a 30 min acupuncture session (sometime 1 hour acupuncture section) every week, combined with herbal pills and patches for when I am at home. She also gave me advice on how to "warm up" my reproductive area by what I drink. (She calls the things you do out of the acupuncture office "homework.") From the beginning she tried to set the correct expectation that it may take 2 or 3 months for my body to change, but within my first month of treatment I was pregnant! I am able to enjoy life a lot better.I have had back pain for many years. I have to say Acupuncture has been the best treatment yet. I don't have to take pain pills everyday and the treatment last for me several months. This is better than taking pills every day to relieve pain which can have side effects. Among other problems ( shoulder, neck, ankle, etc.), I have had the Acupuncture treatments in these areas and it works. After only one session with Dr. Yang I noticed dramatic results. I have been taking prescription medication for 8 months to sleep at night.
