Hoang is an excellent CPA who communicates effectively and on a timely basis. He got me organized so tax time would be a snap. One of his key services is to provide a monthly P&L for my little franchise, which he does very well. My previous CPA was unaware of employee retention tax credit eligibility for businesses negatively impacted by COVID. They were not interested in figuring it out either. Hoang was up to date and researched the most recent information due to the fact that everything evolves. He discovered that my company was qualified for a tax credit and completed the necessary documentation. This is fantastic! The reason why I came here is because my friend always mentions how good her tax preparation service was so i thought maybe it might be a good idea to come down here to have mine done too. Right when i got here the first time i felt so welcomed by the friendly staffs inside the office. Everyone was really nice and catered all of your needs. The process went smoothly as well! And plus their prices were definitely affordable for me which made me even happier then  before. The best part of all was i didn't have to do any paper works! As someone who is not very good with finances or taxes, I was anxious about whether or not my tax return would be accurate.  I was referred to Xoa Tax by a friend and decided to try them out for last year.  I felt like they were honest in their representation of what I could expect in terms of tax preparation, and seemed very knowledgeable in their field.  Their prices are also reasonable; much lower than the previous places I worked with. Running a business can be rewarding, but at times challenging. Doing your own taxes as business owner is stressful and time consuming. Atleast that is for me.I contacted Thinh over a year ago to discuss our taxes and he responded quickly. We met for a consultation, I explained the mess with our taxes and we discussed strategies on how to better understand my legal obligations as well as his in terms of investing offshore matters. He was helpful getting my tax situation in order and made the conversation about sensitive topics easy.The attorney gave me good advice about dos and don't in business as well as a few referrals for matters that he doesn't deal with. Xoa Tax is the best tax preparation company in the area! They are very professional, quick, affordable, and easy to do business with. I signed up with them 2year ago and have been going back ever since. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs their taxes done! At first, I was a bit skeptical because of the quality of Xoa's website and how a Yelp account seemed to be the only proof that they were legitimate. However, after consulting with Hoang for my taxes this year, it is clear that they are the real deal. I was referred by a friend who said that they were great and had no problems. It took 4-5 weeks for them to finalize everything because their turnaround time was quick which is important being an entrepreneur using my own business expenses deductions when filing personal/self employed taxes. Prices comparable to other firms I spoke too but they offer more than other's even including corporate structure info (LLC) if needed for your small business! They do it ALL!! My wife and I found this great service. We had a complex tax return and XOA TAX did a great job in advising us with their professional advice. Five stars. No questions, hands down the best CPA I've ever used! I'm not a big fan of leaving reviews but honestly this accounting firm is exceptionally above and beyond. They are professional and prompt with their response to emails, calls and text which is rarely used in this line of work.The lack of communication from the last two CPAs I used really wasted my time and gave me unnecessary anxiety. They even sent me several incorrect invoices. The confusion was unnecessary - so needless to say I am thrilled with how this one has been doing!Hoang met me where I'm at. At our first meeting, I brought years' worth of returns and he carefully organized them and addressed my concerns and questions thoughtfully. He answered all of my questions in a way that made sense to me; not once did it feel like I was being rushed or my questions were left unanswered. I like to do my own taxes every year as opposed to paying someone else to do them for me. Well, until I met Phuong through a networking event a few years ago and after talking and getting to know each other I learned that she's actually quite the tax wiz! I thought, hey, why not, I'll actually give her a try for taxes. Well, boy do I regret doing taxes myself after meeting with Phuong! I used her for my taxes last year and loved the experience. So this year I finished up with her as well and she is just fantastic. This review is kinda late... I should have written it last year, but as a returning customer--I will never trust anyone else with my taxes again! Especially myself! She taught me so much about working as an independent contractor and really helped me get back every penny that I deserved. She sat down with me and talked through some information about buying a house/mortgage payments, etc. since my fiance and I are hoping to be homeowners soon. I contacted Xoa Tax this year because I was getting ready to sell a property. I figured out through my own independent research that the accountant I had been working with, if given accurate information about when and how to sell the house, may have given me some bad advice. The capital gains taxes I was facing could have been avoided if I had been given sound advice a few years prior.I reached out to Hoang, and within 15 minutes he was able to assess the situation and understand my problems.Although his fee was much higher than other competitors, I decided to give him the opportunity due to his excellent Yelp reviews and great conversation on the phone.Hoang helped me take care of everything at the office, and I didn't have anything to do but worry about my tax payment. I felt confident that my taxes were handled properly since he's an great CPA. A month or so after I paid the property taxes, the county notified me. Apparently there is a retroactive tax that I needed to pay. When I talked about it with Hoang, she said that my old accountant had been using the wrong number for calculating how much my home was worth. He then filed my amendment for free, which ended up saving me a lot of money.Pros:1. Exceptionally responsive via email. I never waited more than 3 business hours for a reply.2. Quick to assess a situation and knows which questions to ask.3. Will answer your questions in a timely manner regardless of the topic.Cons:1. I've worked with my tax preparer for years, but he is no longer available... I didn't know where to turn for help with taxes. ...But luckliy Hoang was highly recommended by my old CPA ...now I know the reason !! He is young and energetic but has a deep understanding of tax. He helped me out on an amendment from a previous tax year & he helped with last years taxes during the off season. Many tax preparers close up for late filing, but he was available.Going to a new tax preparer can be awkward and they are often clinical/mechanical in their approach or interaction with you. I have been using XOA TAX for my tax preparation for several years now. They are extremely efficient; always get back to me within 24 hours (or less) via email if not by phone call; they are proactive with any needs that may be occurring; and most importantly, they consistently provide me with excellent service - both professionally as well as personally (and this includes their staff at the office). I have had numerous situations with various tax agencies, and they are always able to assist me with getting things cleared up quickly and efficiently. They also work closely with the IRS on my behalf to help resolve any issues that may arise (which has only been 1 or 2 in all these years). Hoang helped me to file my 2020 Tax Returns. He first explained the steps involved in filing and how to best plan for future taxes. During the filing process, he explained every detail and what those numbers were. My point is that you don't need to ask any questions because he explains everything before you have a chance to ask!Before sending my tax to the IRS, he reviewed the final numbers and helped me calculate what I could receive by choosing different options.It was my first time meeting Hoang, but he made me feel like an old friend. I don't think my tax situation is complicated, but I appreciate the fluid communication with my preparer. We found Hoang after a dissatisfying experience with our previous tax preparer and decided to give him a chance on the strength of his reviews. The office is opposite the infamous skeleton bldg in Garden Grove city. Customer service is always responsive and excellent with Hoang as well as the staff that work here. What I really like about Hoang is that he is very personable and professional. In our experience with him, he's always been thorough, and when we've asked what we could do to get our taxable income level down, he always provides some suggestions which pay off this year.
