I highly recommend Karina! I did blonde highlights and my previous color had grown out for awhile. She was able to make them seamlessly match my hair and make me look like a natural blonde! Plus great conversation and wine!

Visited the salon for the first time on 6/7 and had a wonderful experience. I booked the appointment in person the night before for 10. 30am the next day. I had a haircut and blow dry and Jacob was so lovely. He listened to exactly what I wanted, my hair was quite long and needed the ends taken off and some shape added. I also loved the way he dried my hair so I will definitely be back for a blow dry! I also got 30% off because it was my first time visiting the salon. Can't wait to go back! More...

This was a Groupon find and I was hoping to find a new go-to place. I scheduled partial highlights/cut/blow out. They had mentioned when I booked that I would have to pay more for the recommended toner, which I understood. Also, I have long, thick (fine- just a lot of it) hair, and expected to be nickeled and dimed for that as well, as I have been before (SOMETIMES it's totally reasonable). Anna took her time and was paid very close attention to detail. At some point, I worried that something may have gotten lost in translation and that she was doing a full highlight, but I figured if it made my very sad hair look it's best, then fine. My appointment took about 3 hours. I left feeling amazing. When I went to check out,  bracing for up-charges here and there, they only added the previously-agreed upon $50 for toner, plus $4 tax. They encouraged me to come back, insisting to take care of me again next time. I watched them with other walk-ins, and it seemed like they were always trying to be clear and give people the best discounts where applicable. I am hopeful that I may have found my new go-to! Julia was fantastic! She listened to everything I wanted and did a phenomenal job. I have always walked out of salons in tears but this was a first - walking out with a giant smile on my face! My stylist, Karina, was amazing! I had a haircut done along with toner to refresh the balayage that I have from somewhere else. I was worried at first because I'm really picky about who cuts my hair. I'm new to the area and was overwhelmed with all the hair salons to choose from. I decided to stick with a small and personal hair salon in the Washington Square Village area and so glad I did. This place is welcoming, refreshing and affordable! Yanna is great!!! She knew exactly the style I was going for and did just that. No more looking - I have found my spot! I've never loved a salon experience before I came here!!    I went for a shampoo and haircut by Ami.  He was professional, kind and instantly makes you feel at ease.  This salon is all the fab without the up-tight attitude. Ami is a confident, knowledgeable hair stylist who knew exactly the problems with my hair and how to fix it.    He took his time, and made sure I walked away with a 100% flawless haircut. Also, the price (mine was $80) for the quality of service is the best in that area. (Believe me I've done the frustrating research, $300 haircuts ha!) As soon as I got to school later that day, all my girlfriends were complimenting my hair. Scheduled an appointment here for a blow out. I don't usually do blowouts because my hair is super straight, but I wanted my hair to look nice for my graduation portraits. I was looking for a new hair salon on Yelp all around Hoboken where I live, but a lot of the salons were closed on Monday. Then I looked around NYU, where I go to school, and the sign outside WS caught my eye: "20% off for NYU students" Well perfect, but on top of that their prices are quite reasonable for the quality of service. I have encountered a lot of salons in NYC, and trust me I have done a lot of crap to my hair and I've explored a lot of different salons from Chinatown to Brooklyn to Chelsea. I have been in search for a hairstyle that really makes me feel like my best self; something that really shows my personality. I have hated my hair for quite sometime especially after I went blonde and then got a horrendous perm (that was the Chinatown experience). I wanted something I finally felt comfortable and myself in. I walked in WS on a whim and Elona was extremely friendly and helpful right off the bat. We actually just talked about how I felt about my hair for a good 20 minutes before we both decided together, after her honest opinion and advice, what to do with the mess I had on top of my head. The whole time she talked to me and made actually interesting and engaging conversation. We got to know each other and she's such a sweet person!
