We worked with Clarissa during a recent remodel of two bathrooms. Clarissa designed and built two custom bathroom vanities and a linen cabinet, and was wonderful to work with during the entire process! She was extremely responsive, answering question and addressing our concerns by email and phone, even on Sundays. She produced truly one of a kind pieces of the highest quality in a timely manner, for a very good price (as compared with three other bids). One of the vanities is black walnut with a natural finish, and the other vanity and linen cabinet are maple with a gray painted finish, and a red mahogany finish respectively. Clarissa really knows different woods, and her craft, and provides expert advice helping you choose the right design, wood, and finish, so that it compliments your home. Clarissa is very easy to reach and talk to and bounce ideas off, and will make sure that you are happy with every detail. We have since recommended her to our neighbors, who received a stunning linen cabinet from her, and had a similarly exceptional experience working with her. We will be remodeling another bath in the next year or so, and will contact her to work on that project as well. Clarissa Perez, owner of Woodworksdesign is my first and only call when I need a custom made piece of furniture. I've had her make a huge dresser with matching giant headboard, a vanity with matching shelves and some smaller items. She does top nootch work, is easy to work, will make changes if needed and is very reasonably priced! Don't even waist your time getting more estimates, because you won't get a better deal and most likely not the same quality results. If there were more of her she could put IKEA out of business! 20 x 24 Bathroom Vanity. I found Clarissa a couple years ago by doing a google search for wood workers/cabinet makers in my area. After seeing several of her other projects and talking with past customers, we felt comfortable hiring her. After scouring the internet for style options, I provided a photo of what I wanted and we went to the shop and chose wood and stain color. Clarissa is helpful in explaining the different wood species and how they fair in various applications, and is very patient and attentive in listening to design desires, whether you want to be very specific about what you want, or give artistic license. And although my project dimensions did not turn out exactly as in the photo I provided, and that outcome wasn't conveyed before or during project, I am very happy with the finished product and can understand why it ended up as it did. Price was comparable to online "cookie-cutter" vendors, except with Clarissa you get all wood and more freedom with design and finish! I would hire her again, for sure. More...

Clarissa did a great job on our built-in entertainment system. She is very knowledgeable and very creative with her work. Very easy to work with and made sure we were satisfied with the finished product . She also works with a great team which includes her own children, and that made us feel even more comfortable working with her. Other than our built-in entertainment system, she's also worked with a couple of our friends and have seen her other creations. It is easy to write this recommendation for Clarissa. Boy did we get lucky finding her online to build a complete wall of bookshelves and cabinets. She even added slow close doors on the cabinets. It is our entertainment center for the family room, and it is beautiful! We did everything online—sending measurements, choosing materials, and posting photos.
I was a little nervous because everything was online, but not only did she get the work done well, but she got it all done quickly and for a fair price. The shipping was worth it! The contractor who installed the bookshelves and cabinets even asked for her contact information so he could refer her. More...

Clarissa is absolutely amazing. I sent her images for 4 large office pieces that were a bit more on the artful side. Being an artist myself, it was important to have pieces that stood as works of art. Clarissa created just that. She was patient and made sure I was 100% happy with everything. The quality of the pieces are beyond what I could have ever imagined. She takes a lot of pride in what she does and is 100% professional and artful in regards to her approach. Clarissa is amazing! She hand built our beautiful TV cabinet with custom iron work to match our kitchen. It is a one of a kind piece that demonstrates her fabulous skills! She is so pleasant and patient to work with and guided us though the project to make our vision a reality. She educated us in types of wood to use and finishes. She was right on schedule! Clarissa built a customer maple vanity with matching hutch and medicine chests for my master bathroom. Not only was her work beautiful, she was easy to work with and very helpful in helping me turn my ideas into something real and functional for my home. We did all of our consultation and design via email, with photos and sketches. I was trying to work around my existing plumbing, which created a challenge for her in terms of adjusting the drawers, wall gaps, etc. None of this threw her off, she was able to address every concern and design around my specific nuances.

Along the way we were able to make adjustments for width, height, etc. I was working with a very limited amount of space, and trying to maximize my storage as well as functionality. I wasn't able to finalize my vessel sink and faucet choices till later in the project, which had some effect on measurement and placement of the hutch due to the limited space, and the swing open medicine chests she was creating for me. This resulted in some late changes to the design which she handled without a complaint, and the results were wonderful.

Highlights of the vanity include rain glass doors, U-shaped top drawers that maximize use of cabinet space (around the plumbing), and a vertical pullout that houses my hairdryer and other items for easy access (I had an outlet put in the wall in this area so I can leave the hairdryer plugged in all the time). Clarissa made a gorgeous walnut queen sized storage bed with matching side tables for me and my husband. The bed has three drawers on eother side. She was very communicative throughout the process, sending updates and pictures and was extremely receptive to customing the bed for our needs (making it a bit higher, etc.) She also came up to our home to help us assemble it after we hired a delivery service to bring the pieces to us. In all, I was extremely impressed by her craftwomanship :) and her professionalism. I would work with her again in a heartbeat. More...
