The food was EXCELLENT! However the service was very slow. Kitchen and bar couldn’t keep up with crowd. And it was VERY loud! ! My wife and I visited this fabulous new restaurant in Pleasantville on April 10. From start to finish, the staff and food were exceptional. My wife was able to experience the culinary delight of chicken and waffles, while I enjoyed traditional fried chicken. Both dishes were exceptionally good, as evidenced by our involuntary moans of delight with virtually every mouthful. We started with bacon mac & cheese, topped with scallions. Outrageously delicious. The only foreseeable problem is that there are so many mouthwatering items on the menu, one might find it difficult to choose what to select. But that issue is easily rectified by becoming a steady customer. I suspect we shall be visiting Southern Table quite frequently. More...

Southern Table is a must if you love tasty food and great service. I decided to celebrate my birthday at this new restaurant and I'm so glad I did.
Love the feel of the restaurant because of the openness created by the large glass windows and doors. I can't wait to sit outside once the weather permits.
As for the food, everything we tried was delicious. Fried green tomatoes were the hit of the table as were the fried oysters, peel & eat shrimp, corn on the cob, and the cheesy biscuits.
Now for the main courses, I had the Ribs which fell right off the bone. I got to taste the Buttermilk fried chicken was very tasty too. There were 8 people in my party and no one was disappointed. Others had the mussels, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, and the steak (I got to try a piece, extraordinary flavor). The have a great bar also with many specialty drinks. (Although it wasn't a specialty drink, I got a Margarita on the rocks which was so tasty).
I can't say enough great things about this place. I'll definitely be a repeat customer.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! So hard to choose what to eat so we overordered and took home leftovers. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted scrumptious! I went for dinner on Saturday evening. My server Rebecca was both polite and professional. My stuffed pretzel was delicious as was my honey spritzer. We were a party of 7 and everyone loved their dishes. There were some foodies in our group who said they would return. The wait staff was patient with us as we negotiated dishes to share with each other. What prevents a 5-star review was the level of noise.
