What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Making sure you capture your clients personality! I always ensure my clients are comfortable and excited about the poses and locations we are at. It changes the entire dynamic of the session when the client is just able to be themselves! It makes for the best photographs!
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I always ask a client if they have any inspiration for their session with me. It gives a great idea of what location and props (if they would like any) as well as poses to make the sessions unique and capture their vision!
What do you love most about your job?
I love capturing the natural joy my clients have. It's such an amazing feeling to look back on each session and be able to see their personalities shining through. Capturing that first kiss on a wedding day, a mommy-to-be right before the next part of her journey begins, siblings playing in the waves on the beach. It's by far my favorite part!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I was twelve the first time I got an SLR camera. It was a Minolta film camera and I was absolutely obsessed with taking photographs of anything I could. When I turned eighteen I bought my first Digital SLR camera and decided to take some photographs of some of my family. It started to become my biggest passion. I was going to college for Journalism when I realized that photography was my true calling. I've never been happier than when I have a camera in my hand. I can let my creativity flow while capturing moments that would have been lost otherwise. That's when I decided to start With A Smile Photography.
Why should our clients choose you?
I am very dedicated to my craft and making sure that every photograph I take is special to the client. I absolutely love what I do and am proud of every session that I have been able to capture! My clients aren't just my clients, they're part of the With A Smile family.

I provide the images online. There is a password protected gallery created for each client where they can view, download and order any of the images from their session with us.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I wear a mask if there is any kind of session indoors. If we are outside, I try my absolute best to stay at least 3 feet from clients during the session. If there is any reason to be closer, I always ask if it is okay to approach or if they would like me to put my mask on.

Sessions can range from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
