Finally decided to try something new instead of the same ol' favorite Mexian and BBQ restaurants. WiseGuys was like a breath of fresh air! The food was delicious! The crew at work was exceptionally nice and was eager for feedback. There were too many dishes and menus items to pick from, but we will be back to try many more! I cannot give Wise Guy's enough praise for their magnificent food. I dare anyone to find better Italian food anywhere near here at any price point, high or low, let alone for less than a fast food "value" meal. I grabbed a meatball to try because my parents raved about them and rightly so. It was a large meatball and with a salad, which I haven't tried yet, could be a light lunch on its own but I also had the lasagna and garlic bread. How does one describe perfection? I'm the queen of heartburn so I had prepared for the sauce but it was drinkable it's so delicious and not even a moment's issue.The pasta was layered perfectly with meat and cheese so it held up and didn't slip everywhere. Finally it's topped with the perfect amount of cheese, especially if you like cheese, and just enough sauce to make you crave a second helping even if you couldn't possibly have room for more. I've read comments that it lacks ambiance but I think it's perfect and some of the best restaurants have a walk up window and the sidewalk for decoration. Never judge great food on its location or decorations. If you are, you're missing out. They're a must try in my book.I would love to have remembered to photograph my food but one taste and I wasn't about to stop until the plate was clean. More...

I'm so glad we went there. Great staff and even better food. The prices were equally as impressive. Whenever I'm in Joplin, I'm heading there to eat. The only negative thing is that their landlord hasn't fixed the air conditioning. I can't hold that against them since they rent the building. Great food! Just as their name suggests, it's Italian American comfort food and it's outstanding! Their canoli is to die for so don't skip dessert, though you'll have to ask for a to go box with the large portions they serve!

Italian food is my favorite and I used to be a fan of one of the national chains in town. Now, when I want Italian food I go here. I've only tried about 3 different dishes so far and I haven't been disappointed yet! Excellent food and it's fast. It's served on plastic plates and they have plastic forks, knives and spoons. I only mention that so people aren't taken off guard by me comparing it to one of the national chains in town. It's not a negative thing to me and didn't change my opinion of the experience.
