We went there last night and it still gets me mad that we spent 52 dollars (tip included) on a poor meal. I ordered the big boy ungraded with onion rings. My husband had the Jerrys fish fry. My bread on my burger was very dried out. The sandwich was very Luke warm. Onion rings were very good. We went to Jerrys many of times and what you call their fish fry isn't anything close to it. The fish are of poor quality the German potato salad is so far from the original thing. The piece of rye bread must have been laying out in the open it was so hard. The coleslaw was the worst I have ever tasted and we go ever Friday out for fish. And then you charge 16.99 for that crappy meal ! This was the second time we've eaten here and it will be the last. I won't be surprised when this place is out of business because I can't imagine why anyone would go back. Tonight we ate at a place in West Bend called Jumbos. I had the chicken dumpling soup, excellent. My husband had a burger. It all came out so hot we couldn't eat it right away. To the owner: Stop in there and taste how food should taste. Cooking food properly shouldn't be that hard. More...

The burger was on stale bread and I very much doubt that that is the classic one. Classically junky. No plate, no silverware, music played too loud, waitress was desultory. We literally laughed about the mediocrity of our experience as we drove home. More...

There's no direct phone number. We made reservations the reservations were changed twice without contact. We then had separate email contact at which time staff said they would help clarify our reservations. At that time, we should have been told they are not taking reservations and that the menu was only Big Boy sandwiches. Instead, when we arrived, we were told that it was "big boy birthday" and the only food available is the big boy. Drove an hour to get there for a celebration dinner. Out of our party 2 of us didn't eat. Very disappointed with everything. At this time I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. I'm a bit surprised how it's ran because the owner's past business was ran so well. More...

Great service. The food was great. The menu does not follow the norm for Big Boy 100% but most of the items are there plus a few surprises. The decor is worth the stop just to see by itself. Great food, friendly people, drinks, and great place to look around. More...

Absolutely terrible customer service. Been trying to resolve an issue with an electronic gift card that I purchased. NO response either via email or phone. Unable to call - no one answers and unable to leave a voicemail. I don't live near there, but guess the only way to speak to someone is to physically go there. Really, really disappointed. Would definitely not recommend. More...

We were there this weekend. The service was good - our server seemed young and new. The staff was pleasant and polite. There was no wait. The food was not good and barely edible. The Hot Tea was over priced. The Mountain Dew had an off flavor. AND there was a credit card fee added to the bill that was not mentioned. We both left disappointed. Kudos for getting staff to work, but your food game needs to be upped. The Big Boy Burger and the Best Burger on the Planet, surely have a long way to go… More...

It’s really nice to have this piece of 1960s Restaurant History back again. Big Boy was always “The” place to go, when we were in high school.

This place cuts too many corners.(one piece of cheese on the sandwich being one example)
It’s very obvious there is no pride in the kitchen as every time I’ve gone my sandwich was very sloppily made.
I still go to Coach’s on 13th off Layton for an AUTHENTIC Big Boy burger.(Big Coach due to Chaz threatening to sue them)

Was hoping the BB burger was like it was In the 70’s and up to the mid 80’s, when they left the area. It was not...the sauce was almost nothing, as if there was a ration on sauce, could only taste it when I got to what was a drip in the middle, the cheese was put on cold and wasn’t melted, and the burger was dry. I did however get a jar of BB seasoning, so the trip wasn’t an entire loss. More...

Not impressed. Didn’t want the fries but wanted a cup of chili instead. No substitutions. Had to pay for fries whether you had them or not. Wanted the big boy sauce on my cheeseburger instead of relish but no substitutions. I asked for lemon in my water but waitress forgot. Everyone around us got lemon in their water without asking. Also thought prices were expensive. More...

This was our second time going and still it’s nothing like the original! This time I order the Chili Spaghetti, which was one of my favorites from Bobs but there was hardly any chili on it and the noodles were cold and soggy. I could not even eat it there. I tried to make it better when I got home but without much chili it’s was loss cause. We will not be going back anytime soon! More...

Big Boy hamburger recipe was just like I remembered it as a kid back in the 60s and 70s. if you go there on a weekend it is highly recommended that you make a reservation or else be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes for a table like we did but it is well worth the wait

Food was delicious, just as I recall from my childhood. My only complaint is regarding our drinks. We ordered boozy milkshakes and were told there was a problem with the machine, so we switched to beer. After waiting quite a bit of time we still had no beer. So we asked the waitress who explained it was delayed as they had a problem with the machine but it should be out shortly. Unfortunately it arrived at the end of our meal. Most of the staff appear to be quite young but hardworking. I blame our drinks issue on waitstaff inexperience. The food was great and the people are friendly. We will go back. More...

Not what I had hoped for but still strongly recommended.
First of all the service and the food we had were simply outstanding.
My disappointment comes from the decor and the menu...
Other than the colors and a bunch of Big Boy Statues it in no way resembles an old school Big Boy. I know, this used to be Jerry's Old Town but still.
The menu was a smattering of Big Boy, a smattering of Jerry's Old Town and a smattering of who knows what and it seemed pretty limited to me.
While it did not rise to my expectations because I was hoping for a full on Big Boy experience from the 1970's we will be back based simply on the quality of the food and the attentive service.
