We eat Willow's pizza at least once a week. In fact, the first time I went into the store to pick up an order, they knew my name from all my online orders via Yelp! Willow's can always whip up an order in a jiffy. Our favorites are pepperoni and mushroom or sausage and pepper. There are no frills about this pizza, but that's what makes it so great. My husband and I visited Willows on a Saturday night for dinner and 'Keys to the City'. He ordered the crab roll. If I knew how good that would be-I would have ordered it too! A grilled hot dog roll overflowing with delicious, fresh crabmeat. I enjoyed my order of green bean fries and Jamaican Jerk chicken wings. Both were fabulous. The wings were very spicy with plenty of heat. The service was excellent. Prices are very reasonable.The dueling piano show was great. We have enjoyed them a few times and they are always very entertaining. Willows offers live music a few nights a week. 'keys to the City' is the only one the charge for. Booked function room for celebration of life following funeral. Included food and open bar with around 120 attending (about 50 above expected). All went off flawlessly. Pretty good food with a laid back atmosphere, confusing atmosphere... Am I at a country bar? Am I at an upscale restaurant? Am I at a house of pizza It never quite gets clear. Here's what I experienced: 3 huge TVs playing NFL games, light fixtures that you might find in a gastropub over a horizontally rough-boarded full length bar, wine and liquor bottles all across the wall, lounge seating, standard table seating, booth seating, and a pretty wild array of menu items that made me question reality and second guess myself on wandering in. The "Produce Dept" pizza is excellent, as are the grilled foods (Stone is an amazing cook!!). The food, other than grilled foods, can be a bit inconsistent. When I was last there I believe they were training some new summer staff, and there were some hiccups in the ordering. This will probably iron out as the summer gets going. Yes I'm kinda addicted..love the lil outside patio...and it has a fire pit for a cozy evening..they have take out...sandwich shop with a quick grab and go with fountain drinks or order. ..a pub bar and sit in dining room also an event room! I really like the 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup option. I wish more places offered that- it's the perfect amount of food for me. Great service and friendly, pleasant spot for lunch with a friend. Eggplant parm sandwich was great. The eggplant was golden crispy and the bread was toasted just right. The pizza is pan style and has a good unique flavor, with the carmelized onions being a standout topping choice. This is a good quality maine style pizza place.
