Having Wildside is such a bonus to all pet owners in the neighborhood. Lani and Chris are always so helpful. What an amazing place this is. I just talked with the owners for about 30 minutes about different types of organic foods and treats, and was blown away by their amount of knowledge. They have solid, quality foods here, fun toys/outfits/leashes/etc., and overall are truly honest, real, and wonderful people. Our puppy (nearly 7 months old at this writing) just completed the AKC S.T.A.R classes with Laney at Wildside Unlimited and we are looking forward to going back for the C. G.C. classes in a month or so. Here's what we love about Laney and Chris and the team at Wildside:
1) They know how to communicate wonderfully with humans as well as dogs: kind, direct, and are great listeners and observers. Wonderful problem solvers.
2) By doing the classes outside, in Little Italy, our puppy and we were exposed to all kinds of real-life situations which boosted our confidence in how to handle things when we got home.
3) Laney goes further than the AKC S.T.A.R program requires with walking, the distance we must walk away, the puppy grooming, everything.
4) The five classes do not have to be taken one after the other. If we need to miss a week, we just come back when we can to take the next one. Having a class with all levels of puppy and all needs reinforces what we've learned and was a lifesaver when a family emergency prevented us from attending several classes. We actually started when our puppy was five months old and just finished.
5) The puppy grooming introduced us to Vince who was terrific with our dog and, like Laney and Chris, has a wonderful approach with people and dogs. She looked (and smelled) great after her time with him!

Bottom line: this was one of the most positive experiences with dog training I've had and I've been lucky to work with some really wonderful ones in the past. I am looking forward to going back for classes but also for the store where I bought a leash that saved my arm and shoulder. I heartily recommend! More...

They are super friendly here and will order you anything that they don't have in the store. I have been here on my pups birthday and they give him free treats and a pig ear. He loves coming here and when we walk past the store he tries to pull me inside.I just went here today and called about ten minutes before they closed and they offered to stay open for me, but I was just down the street. I arrived two minutes before they closed and they were just as sweet as always and let us come in and grab our treats and toys. I am going to make this my go to store for all my pet food, treat and toy needs because they are so awesome and accommodating. I highly recommend them because they have phenomenal customer service, they have a great selection in store, they gave me a discount today, they will order anything for you, and they are just all around wonderful and caring owners! I'm in love!!!! We recently moved to little Italy and had been looking for affordable and awesome dog groomer for in very fuzzy husky! They took him same day and even took our pug last minute! Both came back smelling amazing and looking even better  I WILL RECOMMEND THIS PLACE ALWAYS!!! My fiance and I brought our golden doodle Ziggy in for grooming and he needed some TLC. Fur was a bit of a mess. Before they started, the groomer talked to us a bit about caring for his fur and gave us some great advice on brushing techniques. She was incredibly helpful and honestly taught us a lot that we (should have) didn't know! They spent about two hours on him and gave us a call as soon as they were done. When we came back, he was having a great time with the groomers dog. I can't remember her name (dog or groomer) but she was very sweet and super playful! Ziggy was so happy when we came back and we could tell that he had a great time, even though getting bathed and brushed isn't usually his favorite! Our 12 year old boxer is an old, sweet girl and this is the only place we trust to groom her! Chris and Elaine didn't open this pet store as a hobby - this is their passion and it shows through and through. They offer an assortment of dog food with QUALITY ingredients and it's the only place we purchase (Kika's) food because you can tell they actually care about what we give her. They are helpful with any questions you might have and knowledgeable about everything under their roof. Elaine is actually a professional animal trainer and offers training classes on Sundays. I was having trouble with our old girl on walks and she even offered to walk with me to see if she could offer any advice...and that advice has been incredibly helpful. Finding a good dog groomers is hard especially hearing all the horror stories you hear from the main stream places! My dog is my child and I am very protective over him and I love taking him here! Here they only take one dog at a time so you know your dog is getting their undivided attention! They do a fabulous job cutting and cleaning and my dog always comes out so fluffy!!! I love this place! I took my first puppy here for his puppy training. We took the puppy training class and it is very informative. My Frankie graduated with flying colors! He obtained the AKC STAR Puppy program and a bonus AKC Canine Good Citizen program. Laney, the business owner and trainer, is very patient with us. As a first time puppy owner, I have a ton of concerns, but Laney helped us along the way. Thanks to Laney, my Frankie is doing great. And Frankie always love to visit this place. This place is amazing. The owners are so caring and helpful! They not only remember my boyfriend and I by name, but even remember the names of our pets and always make sure to ask about them! They really start to feel more and more like friends every time me and my boyfriend go in. We stopped going to our previous pet store due to bad customer service, but wildside unlimited didn't carry the same food we feed our dogs. They helped us try multiple foods with similar ingredients, gave us free samples, and most importantly actually listened and cared. Unfortunately our dogs have pretty sensitive stomachs so they weren't doing well with the foods we tried, BUT these people are so amazing they just asked for us to give them the name of the food, and now they specially order it for us! I've also had both my dogs groomed here, and it's not over priced, and they do an amazing job! When I came back to get my dogs, instead of having them locked away in the grooming room, the groomer was sitting on the ground loving on them in the middle of the store. Such a great neighborhood pet supply store. We went in around the time they first opened to purchase food forOur dogs. The owner is there always working and we had a very long informative conversation about different foods and benefits of each. He offered to order the food we were currently feeding our dogs, but we decided to go with a better more nutritious brand they offered. We started buying the food there and once they got a groomer decided to use their grooming services too. Very happy with the job done on both of our pets. I LOVE this shop! It's a cute and cozy pet store that also does grooming. Chris is one of the owners and so friendly. Everything is fairly priced, and good selection of items to pick for your pet. Somewhat off India Street, hidden behind a parking lot for a nearby Italian restaurant you'll find Wildside Unlimited. It's nice to have another pet store in Little Italy, since the neighborhood is so dog friendly. Wildside is now offering grooming and doggy massage! What a concept, I think I'm going to have to bring my dog here just to get a massage even though it seems so ridiculous. The store itself is cute and filled with anything a Little Italy pup could need - think collars and leashes with plenty of bling! Plus, there are tons of toys and dog beds. Also, there is a range of dog food brands available, but if you don't find your favorite brand they are happy to order it for you. So I was just wondering around Little Italy and found this pretty cool pet store. They have collars, leashes and very soft beds so soft I wouldn't mind having one for myself. This is a new pet store but I'm sure they'll be here for a long time. There is definitely a boutique feel here but I love that feeling of an upscale pet store. It's not a huge space and parking is a little tight but there's parking on the street. The employee that helped me I forgot his name but he was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the products he sold. They have a little bit of everything from dog food, cat food, bedding and even spa treatments. I'm not in the area a lot but when I am and want to do some dog shopping I will definitely come here. Laney took care of my cats during numerous vacations , my senior cat needed medications,  as well as ( no lie) due to a serious ailment my cat needed an enema weekly, she was able to do this while I was away.
