If your dog needs training, this is where you want to send them. My puppy returned from her training retreat and I am amazed how well behaved she is! Worth every cent! Thank you to Carter and his amazing group of trainers. Shout out to Jaymie for giving me a very thorough go home lesson! I wouldn’t send my dogs anywhere else! More...

Carter Wilde and his crew gave my dog the basic commands that she desperately needed to be a very happy, loving and obedient dog and then trained me. That has given me joy and comfort beyond. Thank you soooo much Carter. I will continue to keep up with additional classes - you have transformed my household❣️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ More...

We just picked up Moose after 4 weeks of training. Wow! What a difference in her behavior! During our 2 hour “owner training”, we learned all of the commands she has been working on. She is such a good listener now! We are so happy and can’t thank Carter and team enough for their amazing work! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ More...

Carter and his team worked 3 weeks with my older dog and I only wish I’d done it done it sooner! We struggled with his obedience but after Carter was done with him he turned into a new dog. Excited to come back for follow up lessons as well and future boarding! More...

We ended up with 2 rescue puppies early this year because I couldn't say no to either of them. But with multiple jobs and 3 little boys at home, I was failing miserably with any type of training and keeping the under control. We finally saved up and splurged on a training retreat with Wilde Acres. I didn't expect them to come back perfectly behaved; they are still puppies after all, but Carter and Wilde Acres got them both to a place of controllable and responsive and gave us the foundation we desperately needed. We still have work to do and will be attending our follow ups, but I can honestly say any "slip backs" we've had have been completely human error on my end. When we go to our follow ups, they immediately snap to the second they hear Carter's voice. Meeting Carter and his staff, you can just feel the love and passion he has for dogs and training. He is realistic, kind, humane, but no nonsense which is exactly what we needed. And he's patient with us as the dumb humans ;-) Wilde Acres gives you concise and easy to understand "rules of thumb" and will definitely go out of his way to make sure your dog has what they need. We have also done follow up boarding for our weekend trips and our dogs LOVE it. They have plenty of space to run and play and we don't have to worry about them being stuck in a crate or kennel all day. They are loved, interacted with, and cared for! They are amazing at making sure they follow any and all diet/mediation routines. All the staff I have interacted with, whether office staff or training staff have been nothing short of professional and warm/welcoming! I can't imagine boarding my dogs anywhere else in the future! Our dogs are great after a couple weeks of training at Wilde Acres. We rescued two gsp dogs and they are strong willed, energetic dogs that had no manners or leash skills. We can now enjoy walking them and that alone is worth the investment. Carter and his staff are amazing and the follow up training sessions have helped ensure our dogs are transitioning what they learned there at home. I highly recommend sending your dogs here. More...

Carter and the team at Wilde Acres did an amazing job with my 5.5 year old German Shepard. Only thing I regret was not doing it sooner. Walden was very leash reactive and impossible to run with while other dogs were around. After four weeks with Carter, the heeling is definitely on point and he has no aggressive reaction to dogs while running. Highly recommend Carter and his staff! More...

If you have a reactive dog and live in Maryland you NEED to go to Wilde Acres in Glyndon. Moose had some very serious reactivity issues with male dogs and there were a couple times that I was worried I was going to have to put him down because of it. We’ve been working so hard to help him by training every single day, going to group classes, and staying on top of it. It’s been a couple months and he’s officially made a best friend named Socks and just had the most perfect reaction with a large, skittish, male dog who is staying next door. In the past, Moose would have likely tried to jump the fence and attacked the other dog. Instead, he listened to me, was calm, licked the other pup’s face, and ended up doing zoomies up and down the fence line for a solid 20 minutes. The entire staff at Wilde Acres is just phenomenal. They are passionate about what they do and I will always be grateful to them for what they’ve done for my best friend and I. More...
