My husband and I are pretty particular about seafood, but love Whitey’s! We ordered fish sandwiches which were delicious. I love the atmosphere of the outdoor seating area Our waiter was friendly and the cooks are accommodating as long as they’re not super busy . Rumor has it that you can dock your boat at Whitey’s and they’ll prepare your catch of the day for you. Excellent service, environment and food. Very casual place great for families or people wanting to grab a drink and sit out by the water with live music. I went with the waiters recommendation and got the seafood platter with two options and my boyfriend did as well with three options. I got fried oysters and blackened scallops while he got soft shell crab, scallops and gator tail.When my food came out they had forgotten my oysters but immediately brought them out with more than expected or than could eat!I've never been a fan of gator tail but after trying some tonight I'm a fan! We had a great time here! The RV park is small and you're pretty close to your neighbors, but being close to the restaurant is a huge plus. You're also close to almost any store you could imagine. About half of the sites are year round RVers. Our site had FHU, the camp wifi was pretty good most of the time. If you use AT&T, it can get really slow on weekend nights. The restaurant has very tasty food, good specials and wonderful atmosphere. We stayed 3 weeks and ate dinner 3 times, came for happy hour 3 times...loved sitting at the outside bar along Swimming Pen Creek. And all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
