Beautiful weather, beautiful golf course! My first time playing this course...I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although the course had some difficult holes, the challenges were rewarding, and the fairways and greens were in great shape. Lunch in the dining room, afterwards, was enjoyable, too. Fun, challenging course. In very good condition with challenging but fair layout. The price, $54 for 18 and cart is a bargain. Bring plenty of balls because you will lose a few.We ate at the club and were served by a very nice, friendly server Brandi. First time playing here, the course was in excellent shape, greens were fast(which I like), the staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. You hit balls on the driving range into a lake, that was a first. I will definitely be back! I knew that with the cost being a little pricey, this would be a nice course. Well worth the money! I used to ride my bike up to the club house as a child and order Shirley Temples and mozzarella sticks... it was awesome then and went for the first time in ages when they made a Facebook event about live music and the chef’s new holiday specials and happy hour. .. it was AWESOME! Me and the family went up there and had a great time! It was just us and a couple others and wish more Westchase peeps would have come it was great! I had two opportunities to interact with the staff and management yesterday. I was invited to an event at the golf club and had an amazing time. The executive chef was interacting with guests and the food was delicious and a work of art. I loved the experience and shared with my networking teams and non profits for some of their future events. In the evening, I attended a fun event with the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and the golf club was one of the hosts for the event. Once again, they were friendly and professional. I bragged to anyone who would listen, what a great experience I had earlier in the day at the club. Thank you and I hope to be there again soon! More...

(We will save five stars for Copperhead and Old Memorial!)But Westchase is largely restored, kudos to the crew for bringing 7 green all the way back. Impressive!Jarod does an excellent job running the golf and brought a new energy, and Lauren has done the same with her responsibilities, with many events and special occasions on the calendar.The prices for regulars (with Player cards) are very fair, and the only ongoing complaint I will offer is that golfers do not take care of divots nor ball marks on the greens.  I think Starters need to give golfers a little pep talk about taking care of the course, and maybe handout repair tools (Maybe get a sponsor logo?) As an incentive.Nice to see all the summer camps for kids with Mike the club pro too.Chef Daniel is innovating and has the right patient approach to creating a menu and daily specials. Blackened shrimp taco this week was quality, not what you'd have found in the past.  The dining area now needs a renovation to match his culinary skills.Westchase residents reading this need to come out and support WGC, by playing, or attending the varied events.Follow on FB, and come out for events like the just-started Wednesday Happy Hour.  The people working here are all doing a great job, and if you haven't been around it recently, you should try it out.  A vibrant, active Westchase Golf Club is good for all businesses and residents in the area! Earlier this month, I hosted over 100 players, many volunteers and three caterers for a golf tournament here at Westchase. While this was my third outing at Westchase in less than 18 months, it stood out with every single person as the best yet.Course conditions are very good and not a single one of the players in my 27 foursomes had anything but positive comments about the greens.Certain greens (2, 5, 7 and 8) have been criticized at Westchase in the last couple years, but the new superintendent has eliminated those problem areas. This superintendent as well as the entire staff enthusiastically assisted me in every area of hosting my golf tournament. (Of course, we did give Doug and George the day off. They work all the time, so that's why we did it. Sure, let's go with that as the reason.)Not only would Westchase and the current staff be a quality place for you to host your event (Call and talk to Jarod Atkinson for golf or Lauren Mitchell for other social occasions), but it should once again be a destination for a casual 18 hole round with your friends and co-workers.New rates, especially in the afternoon, are also something you will find to your liking as they offer much more value than before.
