Don't let the seating area scare you away.  Pit beef was medium rare and juicy. Sandwich was packed with meat and the roll was soft and fresh.  Tried all of the BBQ sauces and all were great.  Loved the spicy one. I just went here today after my son came home yesterday raving about how amazing this restaurant is! After today my wife and I agree with him! My son got another BBQ pork sandwich (which I tried and it is incredibly good!) and my wife and I both got pit beef sandwiches. The beef was very juicy and moist, with a great smoky taste....EXTREMELY impressive! Great sauces too! We also had fries that were very crispy but light inside....seemed to be double fried if I had to guess. The baked beans were also unbelievable, with a great sweet/smoked flavor and I saw some pork BBQ in there too! I live in Edgewater which is not super close but from now on I will be driving here when the family is craving BBQ! I can't wait to try the ribs and other selections on the menu! See you soon! I would like to thank Diane & Ray for the outstanding job on catering my husband Billy Gee's 50th birthday party this past Friday night at the Elk's Club. Diane has been nothing but professional, kind and helpful & responsive from day one back in August when I contacted her about the event. Never having thrown a party the size we had I had no clue as to what and how much to order. Diane walked me through the whole process, gave me suggestions and options and made me feel at ease. We went here last night and my husband really wanted to try the food for sometime now when we got there the employees and owner were leaving for the night. My husband asked if they were closed and yes they were he explained he would be back tomorrow really wanted to try the food and the owner decided to open back up and give him free food and wouldn’t let him pay! The food is outstanding, such good quality. I love the pork tenderloin, ham, hush puppies and the sweets! Oh, the cookies and brownies are the icing on the cake. They also make a great cole slaw.

This strip mall spot is well known for its pit beef, pork, BBQ and ham.  We were getting sandwiches to take to a lacrosse game.  We had the Carolina pulled pork, spicy with a nice vinegary tang, the pit beef, rare roast beef, and the pit turkey.  All sandwiches are piled high on a Kaiser roll with whatever condiments you desire.  They are delicious.  You can also but the meats by the pound to take home. We stopped in for lunch. Great BBq spot. Small mom and pop bbq place. But man they know what they are doing there. Got a lil bit of every style your looking for . ... Sweet Bbq, Reg BBq  Carolina vinegar style, Mustard BBQ and a few others. All the meats are delicious... the pit beef, the pulled pork, the sausage, the turkey. They have something for everybody... and its all good....baby,baby. Seriously , the baked beans qite possibly are the best baked beans I may have ever eaten in my life. Fries were cooked perfect and tasted great. Cole slaw ....delicious. And if you want some cookies or brownies...yup ..they got em, delicious too. So with that being said Ill be back way more times then I need to..  and when my wife starts complaining about my weight I'lll just send them to West River and tell her talk to them. A local recommended this place to me last week. I went right away and was so happy with what I found. The people were so friendly that they made me return 2 days later for a small catering order. Their portion sizes are ridiculous! Their prices are unmatched, the 2nd reason I went there! I literally had so much beef on the sandwich my friend and I shared and we were both satisfied. Life was goodddd that day. Let's get down to the food. I appreciate that you can see the grill to watch how the meat is prepared. 1. Pulled pork was amazing. Not too sweet. So tender. And just on point on all levels. 2. Beef brisket was good! Very moist and flavorful. 3. Baked beans (with pork) very good!4. Potato salad was on point. 5. Cole slaw was perfect for the pulled pork. 6. Kettle chips were good!! Nice and crunchy. 7. The shaved turkey was the best when it was hot because you could taste all of smoky salty bbq flavor. Never had turkey like it at all. 8. The bbq sauce options just rocked my world! Especially the Carolina gold, a new favorite of mine. I only got pictures of what I originally ordered.
