West Indies Soul catered my wedding reception back in 2005 when they were still on University off of Dale. Was so sad when they moved as it wasn't as easy for me to get to their new location. Sharon and her crew catered my daughters high school graduation party this last weekend. Everyone raved about the food! We had a Mardi Gras theme for the party as my daughter will be attending LSU in the fall. Many of The people who attended the party were newbies to Soul Food and Sharon did not disappoint! Everything was amazing! The mac and cheese was to die for and the chicken and ribs were fall of the bone tender. Thank you Sharon for making my daughter's special day a success! I love Sharons cooking because she prepares it so carefully and with so much love. Always fresh! Some of my favorite items are the Jerk chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, rice and peas, the sweet potato pie, and the Jamaican lemonade! And her sauces, let's me not even start! They are amazing, organic and her new ones are all natural. I have St to try to new pepper sauce, but the "Better Be Quiet BBQ" and the "Not Just Jamaican Jerk" are hands down, the best sauces I've ever had. I highly recommend West Indies Soul Food!! More...

Food is good but getting tired of waiting for stuff every time I go. Went yesterday ordered oxtail & cabbage....gonna ask me do I want more rice because it will be about 10 minutes for the cabbage.
I said I'll wait..why get more rice if I ordered the oxtail combo. Then the young lady brings the food to the car and says it will be about 15 more minutes for my chicken patties. Well did you not know that when I ordered. Again I said I would wait...end up waiting 45 minutes....and mind you there was NO line. They did refund me back $10.
I drove all the way to St. Paul from IGH just to go to the truck and got there early around 2 and still gotta wait on food when the truck opens at 1. Don't get me wrong I love them and will always support them but something has got to change. If there is not a line of people there is no reason a customer should be waiting that long.
