Wow!! This place is Comfort Food Central!  This was our first visit and we were guided here by the Atlanta Passbook. I am so thankful because I have never had a better quality comfort meal anywhere. I had the Chicken Fried Chicken with mashed potatoes & gravy and a side of Corn Casserole. The chicken was so moist & tender and unbelievably flavorful (lookout Colonel!). The corn casserole exploded with savory flavors of peppers, onion, etc. My wife had the Turkey dinner - sliced turkey, awesome stuffing, fresh cranberry relish, mashed potatoes & gravy, and mac 'n cheese. I have always enjoyed West Cobb Diner. It has been a favorite, service had declined some but we have kept going until tonight.  We tried to order curbside pick up.  I tried using app but it didn't give options for sides with a sandwich.   So I tried calling only to hear a Verizon message saying phone was out of service.  We were near by so I stopped at the fiber and saw the same nbr on curbside signs so I called again.   2 more times same message.   I went in.  One girl apologized while another went to talk to manager.   2nd girl came back and said the number works.  No offer to take order or help and no manager either.  Just rude and obviously didn't care about my business.   I left and will NEVER be back. They were able to accommodate a party of 6. The portion sizes are rather large. My husband and I shares the mesquite pork chops and they were juicy and flavorful. The chutney was delicious. My dad had salmon and said it was very good. My mom had the chicken salad and she said it was good as well. Our cousin and friend had burgers and chicken tenders. The service was good although I do feel he could have been a little more attentive to our drinks. It is our cousin's favorite place for meeting and was recommended by her. The food is good but the takeout process is chaotic. I had a very large order and got home to find 2 kid meals were missing and I am 30 minutes away! I am so sick of restaurants not being diligent to check to go orders before customers leave with them. I called and asked for a refund to my credit card and was told because I called in my order that they couldn't refund. Well the reason I called in my order is because the online menu wasn't working. Friendly staff, great service, and yummy food. The chicken and Waffles is a wonderful crisp coated chicken with a sugar infused waffle on the bottom and top. Enough for sharing, easily. The breading had a nice spice to it.Thanksgiving dinner was seriously, so delicious. I loved the smooth gravy and entire plate.Sides : Mac n cheese and French fries. I like West Cobb diner but I am very frustrated with their lack of service and response. We ordered 10 entrees and appetizers last Saturday night for pickup. When I arrived home, we only had a partial order. After calling for almost an hour and getting a busy signal each time, I gave up. I did email and send a messenger message asking for a credit for the food we paid for and did not receive. Neither have been answered. Nothing I love South Cobb Drive and West Cobb Diner. However, today when I went there with my grandchildren that place that has no semblance of social distancing that's at all.  They let customers come in with no masks in droves. We had to get our food to go. Not to mention I wiped the tables off with sanitizing wipes and they were black meaning the sanitizing wipes. The tables were dirty. This place is amazing. The food is consistently good and they do relatively well with their service during COVID. The portions are substantially more that usual, especially for the prices, but the quality is out of this world for what you pay. All of it is made with love. This is the local business that you want to support. Their burgers are some of the better ones you could get in the greater Atlanta area, the sandwiches are HUGE and delicious, the entrees are so flavorful, the appetizers are so appetizing, and the soups and desserts are much better than what you would expect for the prices. The service is great 93.98436% of the time. When things are slow, it is still worth the wait. Bartenders and waiters are all very attentive even if they are running all over the restaurant while serving you.This is the ultimate destination for comfort food in the area. I'll keep it simple.   Our server was Graham.  He was so good I had to tell the manager who actually turned out to be the owner who again was amazing.   We ate out every night for a week and a half while I was there, he was the best server we had.  Also I've been in Vegas for almost 20 years and again he was one of the best severs I've ever seen.  Before we went there I was told it was compared to Cracker Barrel(not in Vegas though, the one in Vegas is horrible!!).   I assume they are better in the south.  But the food was just the sameIf not better than Cracker Barrel.  Prices are for what you get very very reasonable.  You def need to try it.  You will go back.  If I lived there I would def be going back on a regular basis. My wife and I have wanted to try this place for awhile and after not knowing where to go for dinner on a Saturday night, we decided to try it. We arrived at 6:30pm with our daughter and her friend, placed our name on the waiting list, and was told to wait outside (covid 19) not a problem. After 45 minutes waiting and watching 2 other parties that arrived AFTER us get seated, I approached the hostess to inquire why we have not been seated yet. Evidently, our name was placed on a piece of paper which was thrown away and was not transferred to the new list. We were seated immediately. After our drink orders were taken, we waited ANOTHER 20 minutes before our drinks arrived. Our food order was eventually taken, and while waiting for our food, we noticed multiple areas of the roof to leak (raining outside), and leaking on our table. We asked to be seated at another table, which we did. After waiting ANOTHER HOUR and having myself walk to the bar to refill my own beer, our food was finally delivered. After subpar food, we asked the waitress who was running her tail off, what went wrong with the evening. We were advised that multiple employees called in including the MANAGER and some kitchen staff, and they were extremely short handed. She was extremely apologetic, which we understood it wasn't her fault. We still tipped her 20%. After 3 HOURS after we arrived, we left very disappointed and still hungry. There is no spacing between booths. Every booth filled back to back. Instead of spacing every other booth they have filled the restaurant full. I went in to order to go and shocked by seeing staff in food prep area with masks pulled down below their mouths. There were also people waiting for to go with no masks on and other customers  walking to and from bathrooms with no masks on. I won't be back to this restaurant until they can take the CDC protocols seriously. We met Chad, chef and owner, before West Cobb Diner opened as they were building out the restaurant and welcomed him to West Cobb where dining was so limited.  We were there when they opened and have been there every week since. First time eating there on Saturday. Ordered online at 6:00 and was told it would be ready for pickup at 6:35 for curbside delivery. Arrived at 6:30 and called to let them know I was there per the instructions. I was told they were too busy to drop off and that I needed to come in to pick up. Went inside and there were at least 10 other people waiting to pick up (all super close to each other because there is little room at the entrance). There is no process on how to pick up your food. Servers were busy and snapping at people who were asking if their order was ready. The main response was "can't you see how busy we are, we'll let you know when it's ready ".  So I waited and waited and waited, along with everyone else who placed an online or call in order. 7:00 rolls around, no food, no update. The manager smartly avoided going near the front where customers were starting to get agitated because of the lack of info in their orders. Anyway, I ended getting my food at 7:30. During my wait, 3 different customers who had picked up their food came back because something was missing. I understand if you're busy, but then adjust what time the food is ready for pickup so I can decide if I want to wait that long. They also might want to have their waitresses be a little more sympathetic to those customers that had to wait over an hour for their food. As for the food, I had the meatloaf and it was basically 2 meatballs. The sides were pretty good, corn casserole and Mac and cheese. Awesome menu choices. I'm not kidding when I say we all had 3-4 top picks but easily 6-10 overall picks we wanted to try. Southern comfort food options but also very inventive options and specials . Great sauces, great techniques, inventive flavors. Portions are huge. We all took leftovers home. We came on a Saturday and our 13 year old got the chicken and waffles. I got the pimento burger, hubby got the bahn mi sandwich (special of the day), and 14 year old got the chicken fried steak. Execution was above and beyond. Everyone was more than happy with their order. What really made me come here to leave a review was the service we received from Cap (receipt said James). He was stellar! He really took the time to talk through some standouts on the menu and gave us great service while we were there. Such a gentleman, funny, and helpful. We appreciated his special attention to my mimosas (awesome!!!) and to the kids as well. Thank you Cap for making our Sunday family lunch incredibly memorable. First time visit.  Our server was very sweet and efficient.  The staff was doing a great job cleaning tables and menus.  I had country fried steak, white gravy, cucumber/tomato salad, and squash casserole.  My other half had a pimento cheese burger with fries.  The steak was a little tough, and the ice tea spoiled.    The burger was good and the fries crispy and hot. I had the pleasure of eating lunch with family today and they picked this gem. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi sandwich. It had a delightful little kick to it! Cooked perfectly. We all shared the sides. The broccoli casserole and the squash casserole are both delicious! My cucumber and tomatoes weren't great. Not much flavor.. maybe they needed to marinate longer. I've eaten at this restaurant for years; however, if you are in a high risk category for COVD-19, I would not recommend this restaurant.  I recently went to grab a quick bite at the bar.  Absolutely, NO social distancing at the bar with 8-10 people next to each other and NO space in between.   I asked the host when I walked in and I was told they all knew each other, which wasn't the case. Server behind the bar wearing a face mask but not keeping their nose covered.   Cooks and food preparers  not wearing face masks.  A table of 7 senior citizens with inadequate space to a table next to it.  They have some tables marked for none use but it's strictly for appearance as there are so many other COVID 19 recommendations that are not being taken seriously. When we said to just charge us for our drinks and we would leave, our food miraculously showed up in boxes to take out. Can't imagine not having this amazing restaurant in our area. Love the hospitality that the staff always shows and the amount of dedication they have to service. The menu is offering it is extremely diverse offering several different culinary angles. I know it sounds kind of cheesy but one of my favorite meals there is their various vegetable selections that you can build your own plate with. Their corn bread with some pepper sauce mashed potatoes broccoli casserole black eyed peas and turnip or collard greens makes for a explosive lunch or dinner.      Always satisfied and will always come back.Not to mention of course their lobster bisque and clam chowder. Love this restaurant and my parents are regulars. It is a family-owned restaurant so I love to represent local talent. Here are my favorites from the menu:- Fried Shrimp Tacos: amazingly satisfying. I would recommend sharing as my mom and I always do because they are surprisingly large. I struggle to order anything else, besides the next item on the list....- Homemade Tomato Pie: damn.
