One of the hidden gems in Minneapolis. Located inside of a convenience store, it took me about 4 years of living in Minneapolis to find this and it's been bliss for my palate since. The soul roll is one of the best deals in the city. My last visit I had the Nanny egg roll (hot mess style) and had the wings and fries made spicy. Egg roll's are hand rolled and dropped fresh every time. Egg roll has decent crunch to it and allows the contents time to breath and show their flavor. The wing sauce itself is one of the better hot wings I've had in the twin cities (meat portion of the wings isn't amazing but sauce/flavor more than makes up for it). Of course Wendy's House of Soul is famous for Soul Rolls but they're also famous for burgers. Their 612 burger is so good. Flavorful with the best meat. I would rate it as one do the best burgers in the Twin Cities. I love their fries too. Their seasoned with a lot of flavor. You can also get tots with it. They also have great wings and chicken and waffles. Every item on their menu is delicious. To top it off they have great desserts too. She makes many kind of cakes but the caramel is one of the best! Wendy's is in the front of K & J grocery. You can sit at one of their 4 tables, get take out or use Door Dash, Uber eats or Bite Squad.  Hidden gem you must try! More...

Just picked up chicken and waffles and Mac n cheese. It was delicious. My girlfriend liked the collared greens. The seasoning on everything was great. The food was ready for us by the time we got there. Waffle was delicious, could've been crisper but was still fantastic. Highly recommend. And prices were reasonable, which is greatly appreciated! So so good. I accidentally found this place while picking up a UPS package from the store that Wendy's House Of Soul is in and the menu looked so good I had to give it a shot. I had the nanny roll and it was amazing. Fried chicken, mac and cheese, and greens together in a fried roll?!? What's not to love. I had a 15 min drive back to work to eat it and it was still hot and delicious. Good thing I live close - I'll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!! More...

We got 2 different kinds of SOULROLLs, an apple cobbler, and a Mogul burger. It was so amazing and so unique. Everything was “to go” and the only thing I wish I had was a knife to cut the cobbler apart.

This place will surprise you! Stuffed in the back of a local grocery market, you'll find a soul food restaurant with a unique egg roll concept. We had the SOULplatter and chose the famous Nanny roll, waffle and 3 SOULwings. It comes with SOULsauce, which seems to be sweet-n-sour like to me and prepackaged syrup. The nanny roll is creative. It's stuffed with greens, mac-n-cheese and fried chicken = delicious!  I thoroughly enjoyed the nature roll with cabbage and more veggies.  The baked beans were a sleeper for me. They had just the right amount of sweetness to satisfy. Lastly, the caramel cake was simple, yet tasty.  I seems like a yellow cake base with caramel poked throughout.
